New Catty! Watcha gonna order first?
Just curious what people are dying to get. Not what you will get throught the year (I place an order each month). What will or was in your first order? I'm not a demo so I guess I can chat all I want about the catty right? I hope so
Myself I will order:
1. Greetings Earthling
2. Pony Party
3. Modern Lable Punch

I really like the new Halloween set with the witch and the cauldron (cant think of the name) and the dog and cat ones (with the sympathy sayings for the pets). I also want the in colour markers and some ribbon (although my demo is going to do a ribbon swap, so I can get 3 yards of all 6 colours ... awesome) ...

My first order will include the In Colors papers, ink pads, and reinkers. I will also get some of the matching designer papers. Stamps will include Autumn Days and that great big medallion thing!

Oh, I remember the other one I LOVED...the one with the pheasant and wheat...great guys stamp set. I really do not have one single guy set. I've used cards I've made at stamp camps for the fellows in my life. So, yes the pheasant. I would use it for a female card also...just love that one! I won't be ordering much till after Christmas, as my daughter is getting married in Mexico over Thanksgiving and all my $$$ has to go to my trip, some new clothes and a dress....

I am totally in love with most of the new papers so they will be at the top of my "must haves" and I really like the new "hand stamped by" stamps.

i will probably get some combination (3 of the 5) of the following...
*tree trimmings (set of 4) on pg. 28 - these ornaments are SO pretty!
*crazy cool (set of eight) on pg. 86 - i think the quote bubbles will be PERFECT for scrapbooking... and i have been doing more scrapping of late than card making 'oh the horror!'
*woodgrain BG stamp on pg. 133 - it is more of a line drawing of the wood grain. i bought one recently at michael's by all night media and i like it BUT it only measures 3 3/4 x 4 3/4 so it really can only be a 'layer'
*holiday lounge DSP on pg. 162 - YUM! it is gorgeous!!! the colors are taken with teal, ruby red, sahara sand and basic gray... i can't wait to get my hands on THAT!
*modern label punch on pg. 187 - i am so addicted to punches and the size of this one (1/2 x 2) will accomidate those sentiments that are just a bit too big for the word window!
there is plenty more on my wish list... just have to plan it out!

Personally I found the new catty underwhelming in the stamp department. I only saw a couple of sets that I might buy, and even those I could live without. It's fine with me, though, since my dh got me a $100 gc to The Ink Pad in NYC for Mom's Day and I would much rather shop with that than with "real" money at SU, LOL! So I'm kind of relieved that nothing really blew me away.
On the other hand... I never really agreed with or bought into the whole "In Color" concept, but I'm absolutely loving the new colors and will likely stock up in the cs and markers. I might even buy some of the new DP even though I'm not a big pattern person. SU is bound to get you one way or another, LOL!

I also found the new catty underwhelming as far as new stamp sets. there were a couple that I might consider getting but, for the most part, there were not many sets that I didn't already have. The hostess sets were nice but I probably won't be buying enough to qualify for them.
I did love the new in colors so I will definitely be getting those and the paper, markers and ribbon to match. There weren't even that many new DPs that I don't already have. Seems like a lot of repeats in this catty. I'm looking forward to the minis though.

I'm going on vacation for the entire month of July, so I will be itching for ordering in August (hopefully by then the "hype" will have died down and I'll be able to order and receive in a reasonable time!! tee hee!)
But my MUST HAVES are 4-5 of the new DSPs ....... TDF gorgeous.
The ribbons, naturally
And "Looks Who's Turning" is the cutest stamp set I've seen in a long time!
Beware Pirates, Greetings Earthlings ..... several others. I love this catty!!!!!

There are 3 embossing folders: 1 has flowers and some swirls in the lower right hand corner that reach to the top right corner and the lower left corner--leaves the whole top left corner emptly. I need that one!!
The second is finial press with some kind of small medallion design repeated throughout like a background.
The third is 2 of the big Manhatten flowers mostly on the bottom.

I'm still talking myself out of things.... but the Loads of Fun set will possibly be the first thing I order ON the first day of ordering. One of my sisters is moving soon and this will be PERFECT for her. I don't typically order a set of stamps for a specific reason, but this one is hard to resist

My first order will include the "Medallion" background and "Dasher". I said I would never order anymore alphabets because I have the Cricut, but will definitely be getting the "Monogram Sweet" alphabet. It is so right for monograms and a cricut could never cut anything that intricate. I also love Pendant Park. That tree and the park bench with the little squirrels is great. Don't love the in colors this year at all, but I said that last year and ended of loving about 4 of them. But this year will probably only be tempted by Rich Razzelberry and maybe Soft Suede.

I'm getting two stamp sets -
Falling Leaves pg 27
Sparkly & Bright pg 41
They are both my style and seeing I have a lot of coloring images from other companies I thought I would choose some more stampy images.

I'm going for the new in-color markers.........and the cardstock in the incolors........ I'm not sure what else. According to my consultant coporate is running really slow with their orders. With everyone getting excited aboout the new catty, I look for a lot of BACK ORDERS AND SLOW ORDERS........ "I'm just saying" as my great grandson loves to say......... LOL Estelle

I haven't seen the new catty yet but I know I will end up ordering the new in-color paper and reinkers. And I'm SO excited that after 4 years, SU finally got the hint and will be offering markers in the in-colors. Those will be a definite purchase for me.

I am soooo happy they put in a new 2-step stampin set. Yes, I have several flower sets but I am not a huge coloring fan so the top of my "need to buy" list includes the set Greenhouse Garden. There are also several DSP that I like and I love that they are including more that use the basic SU colors and not so many of the IC ones. Oy! My wish list is the longest I've had since about 2006! And here I thought I had so much stuff I couldn't possibly need more stuff. I need to get crafting so I can feel okay about ordering stuff and yes, they even put in a Hostess set or two that are on my must have list!! Now if SU would only bring back some of the IC colors I want and make them permanant I would be a totally happy camper!

I can't wait to be able to see this catty. I've been out of the loop for close to a year now and can't wait to get back at it. Is it correct that they are going back to 1 catty a year?

I have not seen all of the new catty yet to say for sure what i want i'm sure there will be lots but not sure if i agree with the "new" canadian prices but that's another topic. i am not a demo so i have to wait patiently which is so hard for me lol anyways i was wondering i heard they came out with some tween sets i was wondering if they have any rock'ish stamp sets this time i bought the rockabilly paper and love it and they had just jawing which was kinda rock'ish but my cousin is really into rockabilly music so i was gonna get some rockish stamps. i already got rockabella (stamping bella and love it ) and already used her quite a bit for cousins b-day card. and know other companies i might have better luck but was wondering if su did release a neat set cause i can get it without a lot of hassle if su does. Thanks for any comments about this and sorry if i stole the thread just curious cause i'd like to get the cousin hooked on my hobbies!

My wish list and first order list has had several revisions. DH just sold some antique books on the bay, so I get to have a generous sized order. It's a gift for helping him with his research.
At the top of the list is the set at the top of page 27. Love it!!! I'll be using it right away! I can see using it year round.
I also have to get the set on the top of page 24 (because of a long story about my DS at physical therapy)
... and the set at the bottom of page 103. (The set doesn't have a pet sympathy, but I think it will be perfect to make sympathy card for my cats' vet. We recently lost one of our cats. They were so wonderful. They even sent a sympathy card.)

Oh you girls are sooo lucky to have your hands on the new cat. I have to wait until it goes online, will place an order then have to figure out how to get it to me. I think I will be coming back to the US early next year, but I don't know if I can wait that long!!! Maybe I can find someone coming this way and persuade them to carry for me
