My sister is a SU demo, and already has her catalog, but lives across town:( Can anyone give me some scoop on the new catalog, I know demos are not suppose to post pics, but I am curious about some things.
Is there a new get well set?
I assume there are new Halloween, Easter and Valentine's Day sets?
Is the new software in the catalog or is it going to be in a mini catalog?

I think if I was "newer" to stamping there would be a lot more of "gotta haves", but because I've been doing this for many years, I have a lot of stuff already, so don't buy as many stamp sets as I used to from SU!. I'm sure, over time, I'll see stuff in the gallery that makes me "wanna have it". I wasn't all that pumped about any of the new designer papers like I was with the last catalog...THAT'S great for me since I have a SUPER bad paper fetish!
I'm sure after browsing it a few more times I'll see stuff I like. In fact...I think I'm gonna go look right now. My demo let me keep the catty for a couple days to look @ it...gotta give it back on Sunday. :(

I think I CAN say this about the new catty...something that I'VE been hoping they would do for years on the stamp sets...they FINALLY put the "n" by the sets that are new. Ya know how sometimes you'd look @ the catty and think, "Is that new?", now you KNOW! It's great!
the only thing i have heard other than about the in color markersis that there are 2 new embossing folders and some new dies.
and that the recipes are NOT in the catalog again. leaves more room for toys if you ask me. lol
Oh YEAH! I have been hoping for years that they would make in-color markers. The blender pen and re-inker thing was always a hassle and never worked well. You can bet I will be ordering those.
I have seen blogs where demos have made projects with the new in-colors and I like what I have seen so far.
I am not a demo.. but I have seen the new cattie.. there are a couple of sets that stick out in my head at the moment, the one that retired with the wheel barrel that you put flowers in? sorry cannot think of the sets name, but that retired so in its place to me they put like a build a kangaroo.. the loads of love has more accessories.. you can pull a jetski.. and some other things.. then there is a cute set for christmas that is like yippee kyayaaa super cute images.. then there is one where a cat is sleeping on an Adirondack Chair that looks GREAT for a person who can water color.. Of course there are some cute Halloween sets.. one being the black crow.. a skull (which is in with the kids now adays) the DP that isfor it is cute too.
and the new in colors I have seen .. they are by far better than what has been shown online from any of the blogs..
Its funny there were more halloween / fall stuff than christmas, but my speculation is a mini catalog???
I can't wait, in about 6 short hours my demo will be dropping off her new catty, so I can babysit it for the day. I know she doesn't want it to be alone while she has to work! Is she not the best demo?
Uh oh... new Halloween? Skulls and Crows? I am totally done for! I am hoping for a new St. Patties set, too... Anybody know of one *hint hint* or should I get Pinch Proof?

HOORAY! Saves me a lot of work! I always went through and marked the new ones by comparing to previous catty and minis.
I am interested in seeing it, but not enough to drop everything and drive across town. I will get to see it next Friday when I am out there. I have been stamping for a while, but in the past year, I have gone back more to scrapbooking, so I buy most 12 x 12 cardstock, scrapping kits, and DSP. Most of my recently purchased stamp sets are either not mounted yet or haven't touch ink. Even the stuff that I HAD TO HAVE when the new catty came out in January, is just hanging out.
There is a new military set, wheel, and greetings set. I personally prefer the curret set. The new one is very somber. Really strikes me as a memorial type stamp. But I do love the sentiment set and the wheel.
As far as masculine sets, none of the new sets particularly jumped out at me for my dh or dad, but it is hard to think of what would be masculine that I would want for them. There are more for teenage boys though, which is something that I think was really needed.
What really stuck out to me, and my pocketbook were all of the new SU exclusive bigshot dies. I guess they have realized how profitable this partnership can be.

I did not see a new St. Patties day set. They may come out with one in a mini, but if you would be heartbroken without one you should get it now.

This is exactly how I felt after the last new cattie came out...there were sets that I liked but were so similar to ones that came out previous years. Somehow I always manage to spend money on paper and accessories to make up for the few sets I buy. :-)

I went through the new catty twice tonight at our monthly workshop. I have a few "must" haves. I'm not a demo...but feel a bit bad about "leaking" info. There are some great new sets but not as many new sets as I thought there would be. The catalog didn't seem that big. She had all the in color packs and ribbon. Bamuda Bay was much darker than it looked like online. It's still pretty but I would have liked it to be a bit lighter. I like the razzleberry and the suede will be nice. Really don't care for the orange, melon or durango.

I'm not a demo, and I have the new catty, borrowed from my demo friend.
It is the BESTEST I have seen to date!!:o)
I think the prices odf certain items went up a couple dollars (ie:punches)-at least in our CAD catty) used to be $19.95 for the larger ones...and those are now $22.95 each (+$3)
They also added a few new punches :o)
Lots and lotsssss of new stamps set in my opinion....
I know there is something for everyone...
I would have liked to see some humouristic stamps though...
fun and punny...ykwim?

Oooh, I'm excited about new punches!
Did the prices go up for punches in the US catalog too? The large ones are $15.95 right now. Are they higher in the new catty?
I got to peek at the new catalog last night after our hostess club. I love the way the new catty is put together! The cover and some of the sheets to separate the different sections are just gorgeous. The samples looked nice also!
