Default need a poem for guest book

I am making a guest book as a wedding gift. I would like to put a poem inside the cover but poetry is not my gifting so I'm calling on you talented ladies that can write poetry if any of you would have a few lines that would be fitting for this . Thanks in advance

"Welcome dear friends as you join us today,
We're so happy to have you here.
Please sign your name with words of good wishes
Which we will hold so dear."

(I just made that up!) It's short and sweet, but I don't know what your taste is!

You could also just use a quote too! There's all kinds of poems & quotes you can find on the internet as well! If I come up with anything brilliant, I'll post again!! ha ha!

I wrote this poem for the guest book that I made for my sister's wedding. It was a scrapbook, and I had the guests write their good wishes on 3x5 pieces of cardstock, and then I later put them into the scrapbook. My sister loved it. Anyway, here's the poem, which I printed out and put on a table at the wedding with the cards and nice markers:

Please put your good wishes on a card –
You can be clever; it’s not that hard!
Funny phrases
and sentimental feelings, too
Will be cherished by Mark and Staci,
it’s true.
So grab a pen and have your say –
To help the happy couple remember
this special day.
