Question need help with teacher's gift

My DD's kindergarten teacher uses stickers all the time, so when I found a big pad of classroom stickers on clearance, I grabbed it. Now I'm not sure exactly how I want to package it and what to put with it.

It's slightly larger than an 8.5x11" sheet of paper. What I'm picturing is an accordian-style folder (like the kind you make with envelopes glued back-to-back) but on a larger scale. Could I do this with 12x12" paper somehow?

And if I make an accordian, what would you put in the other pockets? I was thinking of pens in one pocket and maybe a $5 gift card to the local coffee shop. Maybe an altered clipboard? Any other ideas?

Any ideas/ help appreciated!

maybe you could still do the accordian/envelope type project but just use the large manila envelopes.

just a thought... good luck and happy stamping

I am a teacher, and all of that sounds great! You might also want to think about putting it all in a basket so that you can put other inexpensive goodies and not worry about the accordion thing. Maybe a Gourmet Candied apple, rice crispy treats or a set of hand made thank you cards. I Love to get movie tickets too.

Just my 2 cents worth! Happy stamping!

My son is in preschool and has two teachers and a couple of teachers aids in his class. I don't want to leave anybody out so I made pocket calendar and pen for everyone and then I'm doing a classroom gift. I'm using a basket or big plastic storage container (so it can be used for something later) and I'm filling it with teacher computer paper I picked up at the Dollar Tree. I also found some stickers and "Wee Sing" silly song cassets with song book for $1 at Books A Million. I'm going to cover some type of container or can and fill it with pens, pencils and highlighters. I'm going to use my Cricut to put together some flannel board pieces for fingerplays and stories. And I'm using my cricut to make some school cuts and decorate a grape vine wreath for their door/wall. Most of the gift is inexpensive stuff and my time and stash. And I use to work in this classroom as an aid and I'm going to school to be a preschool teacher so it's easy for me to do the fingerplay and song kits because I know exactly the kind of stuff they need and use. I figured they would appreciate a nice gift to use in the classroom as well as anything.

In the past, I have created a "school supply" basket as a holiday gift for teachers. I used a basket from the Dollar Tree and filled it with stickers, pens, post its, tissues, etc for the teachers to use in the classroom. I usually include a little something extra for the teacher (chocolate, gloves, etc). This type of gift has always been a hit with the teachers my kids have had. You could always include a coupon redeemable for a few hours of your time if that is realistic for you. I am fortunate to be able to volunteer weekly in my 3 kids classrooms and the teachers are always VERY appreciative.

Have fun creating!
