Default Need help with SU order advice please!

I still haven't found a demo so need advice please! I want to order the Double Rectangle punch to use only for ribbon holes for the front of my card - will this work? Is that the purpose of this punch? Or is there a better one?

Thank you!

That's exactly what it's used for. Same with the small double circle punch. I use mine all the time.

Is there a preference between the double rectangle or the double circle? Do you really NEED both? Just wondering as I think I need one of these now too!

I use both. I think you need both. The rectangle works wonderfully with flat ribbons, and the round with cords or round ribbons. If you used the rectangle with cords, the cords would slide around a lot and the punched holes would show quite a bit making the project look sloppy.

my new favorite for doing ribbon is the slot punch, makes a nice area especially for the su grograin and stitched ribbon!

I chose the double rectangle over the double circle...I think it may be a bit more versatile...On top of using it for ribbon the usual way, I've also used it to make a fake buckle out of cardstock. I just punch out the double rectangle, then cut a square or whatever shape around it.

I also chose the double rectangle. It's great to use for the film strip technique.

It can also be used to just weave a piece of flat grosgrain ribbon through several holes on a card without any ties -- just snip the ends of the ribbon on a diagonal. This is a good way to use up short ribbon scraps.
