Hi! My stamp identification question will be kind of tricky since I don’t have an image to share, only a description of some of the stamps in the set.

The set I’m wanting to know the name of is by SU and is a recent set, but not in new catty. It’s a get well stamp set with lots of fun punny get well sayings like “heard you caught a bug”, “feeling fowl”, “you cured yet.” The images in the set include a cute goofy chicken with one of its wings bandaged, a pig tucked in bed with a thermometer in its snout, and bugs and mason jar.
Does anyone know the name of this SU set?

I’ve gone a bit batty doing Pinterest searches and haven’t found one card using any of the images I remember. What’s really nuts is that I spent over an hour wasting my time before I thought to come to the font of all stamp knowledge - the SCS community!
I will wait patiently for someone to answer my plea...
Thanks in advance for your help with this!

Yes, indeedy, it IS Sweet n’ Sassy Get Well Critters!!! Thank you so very much for putting the puzzle together based on my faulty memory.

I was so certain it was a SU set...which explains why I was not able to find samples of it on Pinterest.

Again, many thanks for the sleuthing and for sharing your guess with me!

And you were the first right guesser! I started reading the posts from the bottom up, rather than top down.
Mucho thanks to you, too. Appreciate the link, as well!

I saw these stamps on Ebay "Heather Stamps" and am not able to find any online except for those listings. Wondering if they are made by a different company and maybe Heather is a designer? Do these stamps look familiar to anyone? Thanks!!

Trying to identify this background stamp I picked up at a thrift shop. I searched online, specifically Stampers Anonymous and Stampendous, but didn't see it. Any ideas?

I looked in the SU gallery for a "Happy Haunting" and there is not one there. Also looked at the others starting with Halloween and this was not one of them. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks!

Yes this set is called "Happy Haunting" - it was in the 1998-1999 SU catalog. Many of the OLD stamps are not listed in the gallery. ( I know cause I have LOTS of the oldies!! lol

ISO Hero Arts sentiment

Snowflakes are Winter's Butterflies
C2604

Would love to add this stamp sentiment to my collection. Please contact if you have it and are willing to sell or trade.

This is a plea of a different sort.......I have seen this stamp and now am coveting it hugely.....If any of you can point the way (or have it and would sell/trade for it---I have searched e-bay, used google, and posted in another group where evidently it wasn't allowed as the post disappeared.

If you can't find the actual stamp itself, you might consider having one made by a company that makes personalized stamps. I did it with a phrase my mom frequently said and wanted it for her memorial programs and individual bookmarks my sister an I made as remembrances for guests. I wanted to use multiple times and did not feel like messing around trying to do it on a computer each time I needed it. It cost about $30 for 2 stamps in different sizes, with the same font and layout, but that was a few years ago. I don't know if you would run into copyright issues with Hero Arts though.

I'm down to just 5 little SU stamps that I haven't been able to identify (I'm trying to put everything in Evernote). I'm thrilled that I'm down to just 5, but wondered if anyone has any ideas on these. I've looking at the online catalog search site until I'm cross-eyed, and just can't find them, so any help would be GREATLY appreciated.

This is a guess but I thinking might be by CTMH (Close to My Heart). Hope that turns out to be a good lead.

CTMH was one of my top three bets. So far, though, I haven't found a match. It seems like a set that a lot of people would have purchased.

GypsyRose, I don’t think it is s CTMH set because the size is not right. All the CTMH sets I have that are large sets like this one are positioned on a square plastic carry sheet - this set is in a rectangle shape. CTMH stamps are packaged in a firm plastic stamp envelope that has a snap closure on the back. This set as shown would not fit in a standard 6x6 CTMH envelope.
I could be all wrong about this....however, another tell for me is the fonts used in this set also don’t look like the style that CTMH was known for. Again, I could be wrong, and likely am!
Just my humble guess being shared, so be gentle with me if I am wrong on this one!

This reminds me of the old Anna Griffin font from back when she had her stamps made by Plaid Industries. It was a very long time ago.

And there you have it!! The name of the set is Essential Sentiments by Anna Griffin. Other searches make me think it was part of a kit maybe.

I didn't do it alone, that's for sure. I actually went over to the PTI forum because, to me, it looked kind of "PTI" so I started there. Another poster suggested Anna Griffin and I went from there. Team work! Works every time

Anyone ever seen this background stamp before? It's an M C Escher piece "Fishes and Scales", but I haven't been able to figure out who made it as a stamp. Came to me second-hand as bare, red rubber with three other miscellaneous pieces all by different manufacturers. Apologies for the low impression and picture quality - best I could do with what I've got at hand right now.

I don’t know, but fun!! I’ve always loved MC Escher. Never imagined there would be stamps of his art.

I was pretty surprised to find it too; I didn't even realize it was a tessellation until I got it home and had a closer look. I haven't even been able to find pictures of other MC Escher stamps except for homemade ones and a smaller stamp shaped piece, so it's a real pickle as to where this one originated.

Maybe it was a museum gift shop special order or something similar? The quality's way too good to be anything but commercially produced.

I found one that is birds and fish with "Escher" on the bottom, but it's small, 1.25 x 1.75. The company that makes it does have background stamps that are kind of unusual (kind of glad I found them, so thanks), so you could contact them and ask through their Etsy shop if you wanted to play detective a bit more:

Escher Post Stamp / Postoid / Invoke Arts Collage Rubber

If you find out, inquiring minds... : )
