Default Need help finding recovering soldiers

My dd class sent 150 handwritten cards to "Any recovering soldier at Walter Reed Hospital". We all now know now that you can't do that. They were all sent back. I would hate to see all their effort done in vain. Does anyone know someone I can send them to? I'm not sure exactly what they wrote in them, but they thought they were writing to wounded soldiers.

Thanks so much

Caren,

Try contacting adoptaplatoon.org they are an organization that connects supports here with deployed troops. I think I remember seeing something from them at one time for contacts regarding recovering soldiers. If that doesnt work let me know. I work across the street from the Navy Hospital in Maryland not to far from WR. Maybe I can find someone there to help.

I tried adopt a platoon. They were very nice and sent me to fox news. Fox news and Red Cross were both collecting the holiday cards before Christmas, but not anymore. If anyone has any contacts that will collect the cards now, that would be sooo helpful.

Thank you!!
