Default Nail Polish

Hi. I'm fairly new here (lurking) and have really enjoyed this site. I was searching for some iridescent glitter to use on bumblebee's wings, couldn't find any so I searched my 12 yo daughter's room. I found a bottle of shimmery iridescent cream colored nail polish. I tried it and it looks great! It would look great for dragonflys too. Just thought I would mention this in case it might be a new idea for someone.

It's from Bath & Body Works, Beautiful by Nature in opal essence. I'm not sure if they still carry nail polish, but I'm sure any brand would work.

This is a great time to find good odd looking nail polish colors with Halloween rapidly approaching. I may have to go by WalMart again.

I used the 3-D paint by scribbles (in the fabric paint section) glittering crystals on my tiles and they worked great for dragonfly wings. Let us know if the nail polish works!!
The scribbles was on sale for 50 cents a bottle and is usually about a dollar.

What an awesome idea! I love the way glitter looks, but hate to work with it. I'll have to give this a try! Thanks again!

I have to thank you for this tip - of course I ran right out to my local CVS and bought a bottle of glitter polish - I went with some brand that began with a M... I was going to go with Jane brand for $1.50 but decided to spend the extra $1 because it looked more glittery...I picked up the iridescent one but they also had a silver glitter one (that I am going to buy next time I am there)

Anyway - I went to my demo's house and used it on some card fronts I am making for a swap - WORKED GREAT - no glue no dazzling diamonds all in my hair...

It added a nice little sparkle - not as sparkly had I used 2-way glue and dazzling diamonds- I went over my things twice to give it a little more sparkle. - even DH was impressed.

I used it on the flower from All Natural after I pasteled it and the added touch of sparkle was great and so easy to apply with the little brush...

I guess the sparkle is going to be different based on what brand you used - the brand I got looks a lot like dazzling diamonds...

Now I am wondering maybe I can add some of my dazzling diamonds to the jar to pump up the sparkle with just one swipe.

Default nail polish

I heard that you can use it on glossy CS like the polished stone technique. Anyone else hear of this one can not remeber which site I read it on but i know they sell stuff that looks like fingernail polish and call it silk something??
It may have been somerset studio or stampsmith site?
If I find it I will post what they did with it
