OK i have to Vent...My SU party is tomorrow and Wisconsin is under a Storm Warning and Blizzard Warning..UGH i keep praying that it holds off until after 2pm tomorrow i really want to have my party and get our orders in before SAB is over i called my Demo and she said she will be here come rain or SNOW i also told her it was her call if she wanted to cancel cause it wont be safe to drive..we can do like a book order and then set a date to get together so we all can make our projects since we each have our parties every month...Go figure with my luck this week it would happen...

oh that's a bummer. What I would do is start calling people who where going to come and see if they wanted to place an order over the phone just incase they couldn't make it do to the weather. I hope you get to have your workshop, or at least get the order in before the end of SAB.
Maybe if we all pray.... I know what you mean though. I was at my demo's today. She got a call from a hostess that is having a party tomorrow morning. Guests were already cancelling ---and we aren't supposed to get "the big storm" until Sat. night. It seems like whenever they call for a big storm everyone panics, stocks up on groceries, cancels events and then we get little to no snow.
At least you can do a book party and schedule the projects for later. Try to enjoy your weekend no matter what!

Yes i think that my Demo is going to call ppl to see what they want to do its totally up to them. i do have at least 300+ in orders between my friend and my order now i have to look for hostess sets since my party is going to be a high one. such a tough choice....
Not sure where in WI you are, but in Milwaukee it's not supposed to start until after 6 PM. I know how feel though, I was supposed to attend my very first SU party last year in January & it was canceled because the demo was super sick. It was rescheduled for 2 weeks later, & we had a blizzard. The hostess didn't cancel, & luckily she only lives a few miles away because I was *not* going to miss out again!!! LOL!! I'd waited so long!!!
I went through that a couple of weeks ago. My demo said the very same thing -- coming rain or shine! The snow held off until AFTER my party, and after everyone had a chance to get home first. I pray the same holds true for you. Have a fun party.
Hope it doesn't get cancelled... that would be SUCH a bummer!
I had to cancel one this week due to an accident my daughter was in (she's ok, thank God). The hostess was SO disappointed that she asked me to drop everything off at her house and SHE would do it!
I went for it! It's too close to the end of SAB to reschedule, and this gal knows her stuff, so I felt safe loaning it out. Of course today I am wandering around feeling like my children have been kidnapped, with my stuff missing LOL. I'll feel a lot better when it's all safely home.
But I don't blame her or you for not wanting to cancel such a fun date.

WOW glad your daughter is ok i actually have a thread going to cheer my dd up she is in a cast on each foot and i wanted to cheer her up and cards is a good way...Now mom needs to be cheered up by having her party tomorrow they say the snow isnt supposed to get bad until later int he day and my party is from 11-2 so keeping fingers and toes and eyes crossed it goes on...
i am in southern WI in Janesville and we are supposed to get 10-15" ugh.....and blizzard conditions too.. they said we haven't had a storm like this in yrs and let me tell you this i can feel it in my bones....i just turned 42 on Wednesday and it feels like i am 102 today with the change in weather
I am so sorry! And I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but I'm in SW Wisconsin, and it started here about an hour ago. Sounds like the bulk of it isn't supposed to hit until tomorrow evening though, so I hope that it stays slow for now, so the workshop doesn't get cancelled.

I had to cancel my party last week cuz I had bronchitis so my demo is taking my orders and she will do the stamping portion of my party later! She's the best!
I'm in Madison and the flurries have already started! Hard to say, one weather station says 4" by morning, the other says 1" by morning, and the rest in the evening! Who knows, I need to have a weatherman's job, they are never right! LOL!!!!!
I will say this, my pups are pretty happy, they haven't played due to the mud all week, they are DYING to go outside and play!!!!!!

lol...my dogs also...as for my guests they are welcome to get snowed in over here lots of play toys(stamping stuff) i have lots of wine and cheese and snacks.. i even have 6 bedrooms to share lol we can have a SU Slumber Party...

Darn! Why did it post so many times?!?!?!?!? Can I come and get snowed in by you? I am on the East side, so not that far away :0) What kind of dogs do you have, maybe our dogs could play too :0)
i have 3 dogs 2 choc labs and a cockapoo.....bring them on over my dogs love to play and i live int he country which makes it better you can get snowed in with us....but you dont need a snow excuse my door is always open for fellow stampers..just say the word

Hey - hopefully it has slowed. I'm in Mpls and we didn't get anything - yet. We were supposed to get 6-9 last night but barely got a dusting. Hopefully you won't get as bad either. *Fingers crossed*
Don't get too discouraged, are you able to re-schedule the event? A few weeks ago I had a workshop cancel due to snow and ice, the hostess rescheduled, and the workshop still closed out at $900. I was surprised that everyone still was able to make it. I know we are getting close to the end of Sell-a-Bration but see what you can do. Sounds like you have a great start already.

This cracked me up! Sounds like a good idea to me. Unfortunately we have to go out for two hockey games today. Should make it home just before the blizzard warning goes into effect for us at 6pm. I'm thinking after that I will get into my PJs and "stamp till the "plows" come home!" (That just gave me a good chuckle:-D )

Well, it's 8:24 here in WI & boy is it white outside!!! My dh had to work this morning, I'm surprised he made it in his little CRV!! I had plans to go to my mom's but I don't think we'll be going anywhere!!
Yes its against the Law Call 911 i am going to have SU Shakes.....So Far So Good party is at 1100 and demo hasnt called me yet.... and the plows have been out and my 300ft driveway has been plowed so no excuses..lol...

So the plows didn't snow you in! That is always what happens at the end of my driveway! And, we live on a corner lot, so the plows not only snow in the end of my driveway, but they push all the snow from the street onto my sidewalk! Thank God for snowblowers!

I'm west of you - it is 10:53 am. It is not snowing now but the wind is picking up. By now most of your guests should be there and for sure your demo is.
I know you will have a great turnout and great sales. Let us know how it turns out.

I know I had to go out this morning because dh forgot to buy ds milk last night and got stuck in our driveway when we came home. DH has a bowling tournament in Waukesha today so hopefully he'll bowl and be able to get back home before it hits.

If I was having one it would have been cancelled. We got 12 inches of snow in this area last night (LaCrosse) there are 2 cars stuck on my street, not to mention the hundred or so that I've heard about on my police scanner
Round 2 is supposed to hit later today and into tomorrow, with another 6 - 10 inches that would mean close to two feet for us
I also hope her party is going--I am between Wales and Waukesha and we sure got more snow last night that they had predicted. And yes, the worst is to come after 6:00 tonight--blizzard warnings!!!!!!!
We are to host a girls basketball game at the school where I work at 7:00 tonight and I am sure hoping it is canceled--time to stay home and play!
My demo "had" a mystery hostess party scheduled for tomorrow and the joke the past month has been the weather (it has been bad weather on the date of this party for the past 2 years) WELL--it already has been canceled as an "in Person party" but we are still having it via the phones and email!!!

It is pretty quiet right now, although I decided we aren't going to my mom's. It is a bit windy, & although they say no more snow until about 6, they've been known to be wrong before!! LOL!!

Right now I'd say it is the calm before the storm. The sun is even trying to sneak a peek! I'm in SE WI and we probably got about 4 in. last night and we could get up to 12 more..... But north of us could get 17 inches or more.... I was just enjoying seeing the grass again.... But oh well! I have nothing going on this weekend and I've stocked up on groceries! So, I guess bring on the snow storm (Blizzard)!

We got over 6" last night here in Lone Rock. My DD & her hubby had a company function in Madison last night and ended up getting a motel because of white-out conditions. Grands spent the night with me.
My MIL's 90th birthday party is tomorrow, so I have go to out no matter what. Only have to go about 7 miles, so will make DH use his work truck with the 4WD.
It's now 1:00 pm and I bet, Dawn, your workshop is in full swing. Nothing happening here weatherwise - except fierce winds. Hopefully all your guests will be safe and warm at home before anything starts.
