Default Stamp set purchase

Well, I went to the MissyB site and ended spending over two hours looking at all the goodies! Spent way too much, but had so much fun!!! I'm looking forward to the stamp sets (Alexa's included) and all the digital stuff I also purchased. The trouble I get into when I read these forums . . . . . Me, oh my! I think I'll go back and grade the papers that would have been done if I had not become so distracted! Love you all, though!

I hear, ya! But, in this case, the stamp set is definitely for a good cause, so you don't have to feel quite to guilty !

I ordered mine last week and can't wait for it to come! Good thing I can't check shipping like I do with my SU orders - I'd be checking all the time.

I think about you and Alexa often. I used to work at a resource centre with kids with Down syndrome and loved so much of my job. There were a few students who battled and beat leukemia. I look forward to sending some cards using my set and sharing them with others.

Many blessings to you and your family,

Laura

Thanks everyone for keepin this at the top. I was thinking of Hosting a contest! Over the course of a week. People would have to make and post a card or item using Alexa's stamp set! I would give a stamping prize to the winner-who Alexa would help me choose. Anyone interested, and if so where should I post it???

I think that's a great idea! hmmmmm....where to post...well, that I'm not so sure...I know there's the challenge forum, but that's usually for the SCS challenges...there was another color challenge posted this week, and it has been placed in the General Stamping talk forum...

maybe you can post a link here or in your signature when you decide??

Count me in!

Not sure where you would post it - maybe just here in General or like Tracey said - in your siggy? Let me know if you need help with it.

I don't "sell" then because a fellow SCS sent me a huge box FREE just for that purpose! Let me know what you need once you find out. Kristen if you see this I swear I'm going to the PO this week!

Love the idea of a contest Lauren! Hmmm....I don't know if I can top myself in terms of cuteness though. How about if I help you judge?!

Ok, so I just re-read that (after I hit submit) and it didn't come out the way I intended. That sounded really snotty - I'm very sorry. What I meant to say was that I've used up my creative talent and don't think I could come up with something contest worthy. Those that can't do - judge others!

Oh Debbi, I do NOT think this sounded snotty! And if there is one thing I know you are not, it's snotty!!!
But what's this about "using up" your creative talent? You are on a roll! Those journals you made Lauren and Alexa were awesome. And one thing that Lauren taught me that I try to keep in mind is that those who are really good are the ones who stamp every day. So go get stamping! You have a LOT of wonderful creativity in you just waiting to be let out- I just know it!!

If you do a contest, let me know. I just LOVE contests!! I have my set here all ready to go...

I also just send the Rubber Stamper a card made with it as one of my last submissions. Hopefully they will publish it! It will be following the article they are doing already with Lauren. Here's to getting the stamp set & cause some good publicity!

You didn't sound snotty at all! I hear ya about feeling like the creativeness (yes, I just made up that word ) is all used up.

In my case, however, I never had any creativeness, so I'm not missing mine!

I'm sure I couldn't come up with a viable contest entry, but I'd love to help contribute to the prize. Lauren, let me know if I can contribute something!

I'm having a snow day today, so I think I do some stamping with Alexa's set!

Go check out the new issue of Rubber Stamper magazine and see the great samples made by Lauren using Alexa's stamp set. There's also a great pic of Alexa as well!

Hey, I think it's time that I stamped something with my Alexa set too.

Do anyone of you know when Alexa's birthday is?

Lauren.... still keeping Alexa in good thoughts and prayers...

Hugs,
Renee

Renee, it was 9/29. You can send a 1/2 birthday card though - bet she'd love that! I'm working on something with her stamp set. Hope it comes out like it's in my head (but what are the chances of that?!) I still haven't found the magazine yet.

Hey girls!
I am having a hard time finding it as well! I bet I can get more online. I have had a bunch of people asking for one (thanks!!) and complied a list first come, first serve for what I find.
So, hopefully I get to find some more soon. If I do I'll let you know.

I plan to stamp a card with the set for my granddaughter's birthday coming up. I still have to mount it on something though. I may improvise with Aleen's tack-it over & over glue and some extra SU blocks.

Weekend bump Hey Lauren maybe you could have your contest on your blog? People would email their pics to you and then you post them and pick a winner. Just thinkin' (scary, I know).

Debbi that is actually a fabulous idea!!!!
Once I get it going I will do that. Emily (emilymomto3boys)has been super sweet and "helping me" figure out. Her sister Kimberly is a computer genious. Now to see if Jason can implement the directions.
Emily if you see this THANK YOU!!!!
