Question mixing smooth and text. paper?

Another paper organization question:

If you keep both smooth and textured cardstock, do you mix them together when you file them, or keep them sorted separately?

I have both types of paper and right now I have all my smooth cardstock sorted by color in one place, then all my textured cardstock sorted by color next to it. I have a lot more variety in my textured cardstock, so I'm thinking maybe I want to start mixing them so when I decide to start picking out all my colors, I have all of them available to me in one scan.

Just curious what other folks do!

I have three categories for 12x12 cs: smooth, general textured, and Bazzill Basics. Each is sorted by color. Eventually, as my huge stash of BB shrinks, I'll just have two categories sorted by color. But I got a huge deal on enough BB to fill two Cropper Hopper vertical holders when a lss closed nearby, and it makes sense to keep it all together for now.
