AndreaSophie has been missing from SCS for a week now. She has blessed us with her time by posting the weekly sketch challenge and by encouraging stampers with her comments. If you are in the RAK group, please send her a card this week. Let's flood her mailbox!
Hopefully another SCS memeber knows Andrea and can inform us as to what is keeping her away. We have all been following her reports about her ill Grandmother.
So, if you know Andrea and can fill us in, please ease our minds! We are worried about her!
Location: In my Happy Place with no one bothering me....I hope!

I am surprised too. I know she posts later than most because of working, but she has never missed before! We're thinking of you Andrea.... hope all is well!
Okay, I'm starting to worry. So I looked up her phone number on the reverse directory and called her. I felt like a total dork since she doesn't really know me, although I think I have done Secret Sister stuff with her and/or a swap.
Anyway, I got her answering machine. It said, "Hi this is Andrea" so I'm pretty sure I got to the right person. I told her that there were many people on this board worried about her and praying for her. I told her the name of this thread and asked her to post to it if she has access to a computer. I also left my home number if she can't post.
Like I said, I feel sort of weird about doing that and I hope she doesn't mind. But I know if I suddenly "dropped off the face of this board", so to speak, I would appreciate the fact that somebody missed me.

I"m sure it seemed a little strange to make the call but I sure thank you for taking that step!
You're not the first, someone that didn't know Happy Heart personally but lived in the area made a call to see how she was doing after knee surgery and we hadn't heard from her in quite a long time. Thanks again!
I have to start by saying that I very much appreciated the phone call and was happy to receive it because I have lost track of time and I'm all turned around and I forgot that I have been neglecting my duties here.
So sorry to worry you all :( My grandmother is not doing very well and I've pretty much lived at the hospital since last Monday. There is always a chance that she will rally of course but I have been thinking a lot about it and I'm starting to deal with having to let her go, so hopefully when she is ready I will be able to handle it okay.
Anyway, I miss all of you guys here You are great friends, even though none of you really know me. I thank you and appreciate all of the thoughts and prayers for my family. Iwill try to keep in touch a little better from now on, I'll try to check in in a day or two, but if someone could post Wednesday's SC I would LOVE ya for it.
And to all the DDSS's - sorry I've been such a stinky leader this time :???:
I'm glad you're okay Andrea but sorry to hear about your Grandmother, my heart goes out to you and your family.
I'll be glad to post a sketch for you but if someone would rather do it that's fine. Just let me know!
Hi Andrea! So glad to hear from you! We're just glad you're okay - don't worry about your "duties" here. I LOVE the sketch challenges and would miss them but your well-being is far more important.
Sorry to hear about your grandmother. I don't know about her condition but "rallies" are possible. Last year we called in hospice for my dad because he had forgotten how to swallow (Alzheimers) and called in the whole family and then he rallied. He lived another six months.
Glad that you reported in. I have been checking this thread often and thinking of you. Isn't this a great community?
AndreaSophie - prayers for you and your grandmother. I hope there are other family members around who can give each other support. We miss you but family comes first.
I am glad you are ok Andrea but am so sorry your Grandmother is not doing well. I hope and pray she gets better, we are all here for you if you need us.
I came to this thread as soon as I was able to get back on tonight. I'm so glad that you're ok. I'm so sorry to hear about your grandma. My thoughts and prayers go out to you during this time. It must be hard going to work everyday wondering how she's doing then spending all your free time at the hospital wondering how much time you have left with her. I hope you're getting enough sleep to keep your energy up. Thanks for checking in. Don't worry about the SC. We have you covered til you can come back. I'm just so glad that you're ok!
