Yesterday, I looked and looked for the ad in the paper. I tore that thing apart...and my husband hasn't read it yet, either...hehehehe...Couldn't find it. Went to Michael's anyway and walked up to one of the associates and she was like, "can I help you?" So, I said, "please". She said, "looks like you can use one of our ads too". And hands me the add!! I hugged her right there in the aisle and said that she had made my day. She did too, my girls were a pair yesterday...
Got my crimper for $8.50! Also found some card embellishments for $1.79! They're regularly $4.99 or something like that. There were other ones up by the checkout for .99. I think that I will go back and get more later today. ...

to the girls with the brayers---If you look back in the painting section, they have the whole kit, with all the attachments. Yellow sponges too! Just like ours.

Good Luck!

Check out Barnes & Nobel too.
I bought two other Stampington publications there on Friday.
I wasn't looking for the latest Take Ten as I already had it.

To answer some of your Michaels questions....the aqua pens you find in the art section, by the paint brushes. Love mine, works great.
Concerning the Sizzix machine, I received one last Christmas from my mother-in-law, and honestly didn't think I would use it very much...I just make cards and don't scrapbook. But I actually use it a great deal, especially the tags. I have the sets of three tags, but really love the large ones, they are great for gifts. I love it because it is so easy to make so many in any color you wish, and I plan to make a bunch for Christmas. I also love the frames. One downfall, in Phoenix our Michaels or Joanne's don't have the dies I want for my Sizzix, so I usually go to Craftmart and use their coupons.

Oh, I was so bad! I started this forum saying I couldn't go to Michaels. Guess what? I caved! I went with two neighbor ladies who are both scrapbookers and I spent probably more than I really should have. But, I did save $9.00 with the coupon and an additional $6.00+ with my associate's discount! I bought a new square punch, a bunch of grosgrain ribbon that was on sale, some scrapbook paper and other stuff. Oh, and we ran into my demo who had just held a workshop for me the day before and she found two things of Liquid Aplique in the clearance section for $1.00 each! She said they were the last two and was so generous to give them to us! She said she was just going to put them in gift baskets! Thanks Shannon!
On our way home we all talked about how much we spent and Sheri and I agreed we spend more when our hubbies are away! So easy to do.
After reading the posts about the Sizzix machine, I'm kind of thinking about getting one. But I won't make it back to Michaels today so I will have to wait for another 50% coupon, which won't be long! I will let you all know about an upcoming sale soon!

Well I caved and bought the Script Sizzlits for my Sizzix machine. I have 2 other fonts but don't have anything that looks elegant. I am using it already so I'm really glad to have it.

I got a Xyron and some coluzzle templates. I've been wanting a xyron for a long time but kept putting it off because I didn't know what model to get and I didn't know how much I would really use it. Well, for 50% off, I couldn't pass it up.

I really went to get some pearlex, but they were redoing their stamping area so all that stuff was not available.

I had a gift card from my birthday too so I got $55 worth for $11. Now that's my kind of shopping!!

I bought the xyron too, I almost got the Sizzix but it just seemed like too much even with the discount. Please do let us know when to look for the next 50% coupon. I have a feeling it will be the day after Thanksgiving.

I went this morning and got one of the Pearl Ex assortments then went back this afternoon and got a Niji (sp?) aqua brush, since I've been waiting for my SU ones since July. I can't wait to experiment with it.

Our micheals has one assortment of pearlX- maybe 10-12 jars, does any one know if the colors are the same as the ones SU sells. Also where in Micheals did you find the Stamp-a-ma-jig?
Got the niji water color brush, gotta look for it, nestled with all the other burshes, its in a poly pkg hanging on a hook, just one "facing" of it at our local store.

I got 4 acrylic 8 x 10 box frames for 30% off. I use them as scrap drawers in my cardstock organizers. All the big pieces sit on the shelf and the drawer sits on top holding all the small pieces. Works great! I might go back for some more later in the week.

I also got two packages of scrapbook charms and a Sissix die with my 50 % off coupon. It is the picket fence one. I already had all the tag dies they had available and the picket fence was one of the few die cuts I thought would be useful enough to buy. It was $11.99, so I got it for $5.50! Not bad!

No Take Ten at the Michaels I was at!

I got a stampamajig and now I don't know how I ever survived without it!! I hated 2 step stamping but now I can do it!!!! Thanks to all that talked it up here on SCS!!!

Now what to buy with my 40%off coupon.... I have all the pearlex a gal could ever want, a brayer, a crimper, coluzzle templates are a passion so I am good on those, every color of Staz On, & Brilliance, just got my aqua painters from SU... don't really want a Sizzix at this point since I have a bazillion tag templates plus all the Tag sheets from SU... They don't have the Take Ten III issue.

Any suggestions?

I ended up getting the kit to make paper. I hope I can use all my SU scraps and having matching handmade papers. It came with an envelope template too! I also got some Perfect Paper Adhesive (can't remember what technique I needed it for) and some of the $1 Liquid Applique tubes.

I had a Joann's coupon too, but gave it away. I couldn't find anything! (OMG-- I can't believe I just said that!).

Anyway, I'm still searching for a Take Ten!

I'm addicted to the Micheals $1.00 ribbon bin! I don't know what the story is on the ribbon and why it is sooo cheap, but I love it! I have found grosgrain and organdy in all different sizes and colors. Sometimes the spool is only 4 yards long, but sometimes it's 15 yards. It varies. Has anyone else seen the ribbon bin? and if so, do they LOVE IT, like me, or I'm I the only ribbon freak here?

My Michaels trip: Had a defective Provo Craft $1.99 rectangle punch so went to exchange it for another. They were out so I got a Fiskars one for $4.99. The salesgirl gave it to me for the $1.99. I also got a Making Memories Basic Colors Eyelet set, used my 50% off and saved $8.00. She let me keep my coupon, silly girl! Today I went back and used the 50% off on a Giga Punch square punch. Same girl let me keep my same coupon! Went back again to get a brayer but they were out. Picked up Microbeads and they gave me the 50% off so saved a buck and kept my coupon. Went to another Michaels for a brayer but they were out too so got Le Plume Pen set and saved $10.50. Should've been reading these posts before though cause I probably could've found a brayer in the art section. Boo hoo. I'll just probably go back with my 40% coupon for it. My kids are really starting to hate Michaels. Can't wait for the new JoAnn's Superstore to open near me....nothing like anticipation!

Novell, what is a JoAnn's Superstore? Ours isn't all that great, but it is the only one around. The next nearest is in Anchorage, about 7 hours away!

It's Michaels new competition. I just went to one about 40 min away from my house and I was BLOWN away. It's a really HUGE JoAnn's (the ones by me are really small and don't carry much). They have a huge scrapbooking section with more products than usual to choose from. I didn't even look at the other sections of the store but imagine it's the same idea...more selection. The size of the store is the same size as a Michaels store.

Delene, you've just got to get scrapping and stamping to become a popular hobby in Japan. All my relatives there are so crafty I know they would enjoy doing both things and would do them so well. Unfortunately, they are not in Okinawa.

I went yesterday with my 50% off coupon and did not buy anything! I was so proud of myself as I have gone there so many times, LOOKING for things I NEED. I finally have everything I need, it seems like.

But what I usually l look for are magazines. And yesterday they had the new Fisker's cutter on sale. Ours is black and theirs was purple but it is the same new cutter and I would have bought it if I did not have one from SU!

There's one more thing I need but I can't find on the market. I want a tag punch that punches the smallest tags SU has on their tag sheets!
