I'd like to let all you great stampers out there know that Memory Makers has just come out with a new special issue this winter titled "Scrapbooking and Stamping."
It is AWSOME!! It is an entire issue devoted entirely to stamping scrapbookers. And it is gorgeous. And well laid out. And the samples, all of them, are GREAT!
I have been really frustrated with the scrapbooking magazines and how they don't support stampers well. And so many scrappers are abandoning even paper arts and going entirely digital. This one is truly a focus on stamping and artistic scrapbooking.
Go find one and peruse the eye-candy. If you can bring yourself to part with money, buy it. We want these magazine companies to know we stampers are out there and want their support too.
I think Michael's would have it. Our grocery store carries a great selection of stamp/scrap mags.
And our library just started carrying the Stamp and Scrap magazine! Pretty cool!

I was thrilled to discover this (at Micheals) and a technique I can't wait to try is the 'craft pad and large shape- with layers of Classic inked images layered over top, then stamped!'
It is a great issue.

Boo-Hoo for me, I went to michaels, BAM, and walmart-no magazine. I really wanted this because tomorrow is going to be a jammie day. Oh well, I guess I'll stamp and read SCS.
DH and I had a small gift certificate for Borders to use and I found this special edition there this weekend. It is a great resource - lots of tips and ideas!

As a scrapbooker first then a stamper (after I resisted stamping for years!) this is truly a great magazine. I found mine at Michael's and used 40% off coupon. I have not seen it at AC Moore. I am liking Memory Makers more and more over some of the other scrapbooking magazines. Some of the styles are getting "way out there for me".
I went to their website www.memorymakermagazine.com and they do not have that listed as a special yet. I will have to keep looking for it.
What does the cover look like?
Would you recommend the Memory Maker magazine or just the special. I need to begin scrapbooking and want a good magazine for beginning stamping in scrapbooks. Would this be the one?
Thanks in advance!
