Yes, for In laws. I just do a flat one or maybe one layer with No embellishments. They don't appreciate them any way.

Not sure yet. It's just a thought so far. Like . . . I feel like being creative . . . man this person gets on my nerves! . . . I should make this person a card . . . and show my dislike for this person.

Meh...why bother. Put your energy to something good like making a card for your best friend or someone who did something nice for your recently. I have a hard time letting things like this go so if I took the time to make a card expressing my feelings, it would just eat me alive and I have the power to stop that feeling.

I will say though... I love the USuck cards and would absolutetly send one to a good friend as a joke if called for! haha.

Nope. My time and materials are too precious to waste. Besides, "The best revenge is living well." Living well does not include spending time fretting about someone I don't like.

When I was working (heh! I work more now that I'm a SAHM) I used to be the one that made cards for birthdays in the office. Yep, made PLENTY of cards for people that I didn't like. For YEARS.
When it was for someone like that, I'd make it for me. My style (screw what they'd like! lol) my favorite stamps, colors. Anything I'd be wanting to try but didn't really know how - that way I could still use it if it didn't look great. It was always ok in the end - the whole office would gush about how beautiful it was and I got to bask in the glory!

In the end it is about making things that you are proud of. Of course if the recipient is well liked it gets easier to put your best work forward because your heart is into it.

Nope..waste of my precious time and they don't deserve it ...but ..if ..I ..did .. I would recycle a purchased card I got from someone else last year...erase the name (make sure you make it obvious like leaving a messy eraser stain or perhaps a faint ink mark) ..sign my own name and send that sucker on it's merry way!!! Nasty aren't I!!!!

I can't imagine why I would ever take the time to make a card for someone I don't like. For that matter why would I even want to send them a card of any kind? Sending cards is a way to convey warm feelings/kindness toward someone. Hatred is not a reason.

NO I would not ever consider sending a card as the one linked in Post #2. If I did, my friends would think very poorly of me.

I don't think I would have a reason to send a card to someone I don't like. If I don't like them then they are not my friend so why would I send someone who is not a friend a birthday, Christmas or whatever card. I do like my family so no problems there and I do like my soon-to-be in-laws so no problems there either. The ONLY reason I could see someone sending a card to someone they don't particularly like is because they are family (and it is expected) or they are in-laws (and for whatever reason, you don't like them) but that's just my take on it.

I don't make or buy cards for people I don't like. What's the point?!
I do like the U suck cards, I think they're hilarious but don't have the guts to actually send one out unless it was in pure jest to a good friend. I'd just send out a card from an old swap that isn't my taste if I felt obligated to give a dislikable person a card for some occasion.

This is when one-layer cards that look nice, but aren't time consuming are a stamper's best friend.

No, I've never made a card for someone I don't like. I've made lots for people I don't even know (RAK cards). Life's too short for me to feel obligated, especially to poopy people. But if you insist, have good humor and un-attachment about it. I love the idea of the recycled card, the swap discards, all the other great ideas people mentioned.

Yep, I make one for my mom's boyfriend each year. Don't like him, but I'm trying to be a good person. I usually try to use a card I've already made.

I'm sure you can find an idea at the Jailbird Commissary. Please don't visit her blog if you're sensitive. She's also got the Dirty Shank site where you can find all sorts of...ahem...cards you might want to send to people you don't like. Please keep in mind the theme of these blogs before you visit: "Offending society one card at a time."

Here's a little story to think about:

A man stopped each day at a newstand to buy a paper on the way to work. He always asked nicely for the paper, smiled and said thank you. The newsguy was very surly, didn't speak, just handed the paper over and took the money without a word.

On day the man's friend who walked with him said, "I don't understand you. Every day you ask for your paper, and smile and are nice. The newsguy is surly and unpleasant to you. Why do you keep on being nice?"

The man said, "It's simple. He doesn't have the right to determine how I'm going to act."

This attitude can be used in all kinds of situations - even making cards for people you don't especially like.

Who knows, your beautiful card made with positive thoughts might make a chink in their armor. Stranger things have happened.

Normally I don't bother as they don't deserve a card from me BUT, every Christmas I make a card for my DBF to give to his nasty nasty sister. The card is "from" him but I'm sure it goes straight in the garbage so I don't bother putting too much effort into it.
