Made my own Stamp positioner!!
Ok so I've been thinking about getting a Stamp-a-ma-jig, but wasn't sure. Anyway I got to thinking some more about it and decided to try to make my own. My DH uses a lot of different plastics in his shop and I was going to try that, but then my DD was playing with her legos and guess what??? It works!!! I used a piece of Shrinky-dink plastic for the imaging sheet. And it worked! Woo Hoo!! Check this out!

Woo hoo! Great idea! I'll need to dig up our old large, Duplo Legos. I'll give it a try with a clear plexi glass or one of those acrylic frames.

How smart are you! You are my kind of girl! You could also use a piece of vellum with it!

Too bad I already have a stamp-a-ma-jig... This is a fantastic idea. I'm eyeing a box of duplos right now wondering what else can be created...

Aready e-mailed this thread to a friend!! Great idea!! You can buy just the refill stamp-a-ma-jig sheets at our local stamping store. I think it was only a couple dollars CDN for 3 sheets. Although the vellum and/or shrinkydink are probally just as good!!

"Mommy has my toys and she won't give em back!"
Really this is pretty darn clever, I made a couple out of wood for friends but Wow, this is so cute!
BTW, I use just a piece of acetate with mine and I'm almost as cheap - I paid two dollars for mine at a resale. Still not as cute though but it has a ruler and acts as a wheel guide! Ha Ha, you can't do that!

Actually...if I added more pieces to it length-wise, I bet I could use it as a wheel guide. Hmmm I'll have to try that tomorrow

Laughing here! How good are you at making ruler marks?
Serious now, if this new tool slides around at all - if possible try putting some of your scrap rubber or other adhesive on the bottom. I did this with my acrylic one and it works great!

This is such a great idea! Thank you so much for the pictures - to help me visualize. I have tons of these Duplos everywhere and now I won't complain about them being in the way any more.....

As one who spent a "fortune" on Legos for my now grown sons, I am getting a real kick out of this! How clever and creative....I love your idea! Let us know if you come up with more "inventions"!!!
Happy Day,
Diane

OK unfortunately the wheel guide version does NOT work There are too many spaces for the wheel to get caught in. Oh well, I tried.

So clever! Thanks for sharing your invention.
*I tried making one out of wood and the drill bit is still stuck in there! I ended up just buying a stamp-a-ma-jig--can't live without it!*

What a cool idea! Would have never thought of that. I'll have to raid DD's blocks and try it out.
