Default Looking for a Scrapbook Armoire/Desk

I got some money from an Uncle that passed away. I want to do something special with some of it. I would like to get an Armoire similar to the The Scrapbox but I am a few hundred dollars away for the price of the Scrapbox.

Is there anything similar out there that would be not as expensive? Or do you think I should save up the rest of the money and get The Scrapbox.

Is the Scrapbox super good quality?

Well, I can tell you my BFF just bought a Scrapbox and I got to help her put the shelves in and label and load! She had a whole row of storage left empty!!! then we went shopping! Hee,hee!

What I can tell you is it is amazing...I can't believe how much it holds. Very well put together, very nice materials. She did pay someone to put it together (it took 5 hours). We put the pegs in that hold the shelves, they slot in and then we zipped up the fabric boxes.

I like to create from a counter height space or I would definitely consider a ScrapBox. Hope this helps

i would ask local builders for a quote to build you one based on what you want. You might save lots, and you could even finish it yourself to save $$.

[QUOTE=fionna51;13382709]I have a whole section on furniture in my favorites. Check these out and see if it makes your decision making easier...or harder!

Actually the Scrapbox is one of the lower priced ones. I just talked to my sister and my husband and they said to get it!! It sounds like a great piece of furniture that can be a family keepsake.

There are two retailers within 3 hrs of my home so hopefully I want be paying shipping costs!

I will post later when this becomes a reality.

Thanks for all your suggestions.

Bonnie, no this is not a counter top height. I said if it WAS I would get it. The table that swings out in the middle is regular desk height.

Still very, very nice, but NOT counter top height. Sorry

I have forgotten to say, this is a HUGE piece of furniture. It opens out to 9 feet wide, so when it is closed up, it is deeper than an TV cabinet. My friend has it in her guest room with a day bed on the opposite wall and a desk under the window which stands in for her tools, cutter, etx.
