Default Looking for greeting card sleeves.

Hello stampers,

I'm looking for greeting card sleeves. I'm fine with cellophane or acetate.

I have found some websites that post prices and to me, they seem reasonable at around $7.00 for 100. (Of course it also depends on the size). I have never bought these before.

If anyone can recommend a website where you've purchased some, I sure would appreciate it.

I don't have many cards in my stash (probably around 100), but after seeing some videos on youtube, where people used these, I like the look.

Thank you for any suggestions or feedback!

It's me again.

I did find some of these on Amazon and would prefer to order there, since I have Amazon Prime. But all I saw, were the ones that had adhesive. I'd rather not have that, since I may take these cards back out and put them back in.

I couldn't find any non-adhesive options, but maybe I just missed seeing them.

Beth, this thread has discussions of what you are looking for (one poster mentions buying some on Amazon without the adhesive).

The ones I get are from Amazon and they do have the flap with the adhesive........I cut it off with my paper trimmer........and sometimes I actually use one with the flap to transport pieces I'm working on to a friends house........nothing falls out.

I've always ordered from clearbags.com, find them to be quick and quality bags/sleeves/jackets, and very reasonable prices.

Thanks Bella! These comments have been so helpful. THANK YOU all! Earlier today, on Amazon, I ordered 4 different sizes of cellophane / 100 each size (400 total) for $19.99. Looking forward to having something to put my cards in.

Regarding greeting card sleeves:
I too struggled with cards sticking when I tried to take them in and out of the sleeve but I found a workable solution for me.
I bought the sleeves where the adhesive is on the body of the sleeve NOT the flap and it works beautifully. I've gotten them for years from a company called clear bags.com The sleeves are called "protective closure bags" I mostly get the 4 1/4" x 5 3/8" + Flap, Crystal Clear Protective Closure Bags but sometimes other sizes for larger greeting cards and 100 bags is only $5.09
Steps on site are clear bags.com; choose bags then crystal clear bags then on next screen choose protective clear bags and on the next screen scroll until you find the size and style you want. You can have the opening at the top or on the side. I like both!
Hope this helped

For Canadian SCS members, Clear Bags also has a Canadian online website so it makes it easier to ship within Canada (and no duty).

Crystal Clear Bags Canada Inc.

I've ordered from them for years - great selection and great service. Both clear bags and clear jackets. And if you bake treats to give as gifts, they have a wide selection of patterned cellophane bags to put treats in.

I just ordered some from clearbags.com. They haven't arrived yet, but I'll let you know what I think when I get them if you want.

cards 24-7 (Love that name, by the way),

Thanks for letting us know. That's very helpful. And, I also appreciate how you gave the steps to get to that particular bag.

Default giftcard sleeves

The sleeves I purchase at Michaels are called "Celebrate It" and they are transparent archival bags. The packages are orange/green/clear. I make two sized cards so I purchase for the 5x7 cards the 5.75x7.75inches 40 pcs. For my smaller cards I think are A2 I buy 4.75x6.75inch bags 45pcs, I think they are under $5.00
I'm sure if you know a company that makes them you can get them for less.
I just purchased (3) 5x7 a couple of days ago that should get me through the holidays.
Hope this helps

I too have ordered from clear bags.com Excellent prices, the more you buy the cheaper they are, really quick shipping I highly recommend them never had a problem with them. There are all sorts of choices on envelopes with a flap without a flap with adhesive without a adhesive and they have every size under the sun.

Another vote for Clearbags with protective closures. Quick shipping. I’ve been ordering from them for years and never had a problem.

I am feeling a bit behind the times. What are you sing these bags for? To store your nicest card? To send your card in? I must be missing something here. Thanks

Hi Mischelle1,

I had noticed on youtube, some videos where people had stored their cards in these. I liked the look and also the fact that they will stay clean. Plus, it'll make my card stash look more organized and neat. I just got my bags today, so all of my cards can be put in the applicable size.

Mischelle1 - I have a Christmas card sale every November where I sell my cards to raise money for a charity I support, so it's nicer and safer to have the cards in bags.

I purchase mine from Crystal Clear Bags in Ontario, Canada. There is a U.S. online store: this is the link to the non-seal bags for A2 cards - Crystal Clear Flat Bags - Greeting Cards - Art - Photo | ClearBags

Great ideas everyone. I have bought from Clearbags for the cellophane type ones and from Amazon for the heavier that hold my stamps and dies. I bought a bunch from a company closing them out years ago and I still have lots of those. Also make flip cards with them. Love me some clear bags.

Marcospaper.com is a shop near Dayton, OH. I hope I've put in the correct website. Marcos Paper is a fantastic paper crafting store with all sizes of protective sleeves, great papers, adhesives, stamps, dies, etc., etc. Family owned. Great people to do business with. If you're ever in the area, you must stop by.

I'm a member in a monthly swap here on SCS and we send in decorated envelopes with our cards. Putting a card and matching envelope in a bag makes it easier for our hostess to swap them out and not have to worry about envelopes getting separated from their cards.

Also I just used some bags for cards that were part of an opportunity drawing basket for a Bingo event. Placing the cards separately in bags helped folks look through them without getting them dirty.

Post Cellophane sleeves

I have purchased from CelloBags on Etsy

They are reasonably priced. I have also checked on amazon and there are a few sellers that have good reviews.
Hope this helps.
Blessings,

I have found some websites that post prices and to me, they seem reasonable at around $7.00 for 100. (Of course it also depends on the size). I have never bought these before.

If anyone can recommend a website where you've purchased some, I sure would appreciate it.

I don't have many cards in my stash (probably around 100), but after seeing some videos on youtube, where people used these, I like the look.
