Hi Everyone,
I'm looking for a deep dark black cardstock that I can use polychromos pencils on top off. All of the black cardstocks I've found aren't dark enough and have too much gray in them. Any suggestions?
True Black from Papertrey Ink would be a good one; so would the Michael's brand, Recollections 110# cardstock. It come in white, cream and black. I've used both and been very pleased.

Google black cardstock comparison. House of cards did a wonderful comparison of many colors including black and simon days stamp was the clear winner. The post is old but worth reading. I am unable to link right now
Art papers might be something to consider too - Blick carries black Bristol, and there are some black sketch books as well as black pastel paper and matboard.
This looks interesting and I added one to my cart to try...
@dini
As I understand it Blick is having a big sale tomorrow due to their bday. Just FYI. That Black black is intriguing. I want to get over there and have added it to my look at list.
Tomorrow in the daylight I will compare my black samples and get back here.
I like Recollections black #110 for card bases, I don't know that I'd want to use it for pencil coloring. I didn't know Blick had a black Bristol, or a sale, so yippee, I will just head on over there to check out that happy news! Thanks for all that enabling, folks. I would also check out Gina K paper and MFT as well...don't know if they were included in the comparison above (hey, it is late and I'm lazy and in bed) but I really like their cardstock and their colors work well for me, including the black I have used for pencil coloring.

That color comparison is from 4 years ago. In that time it is possible that colors have changed even though they have the same name, and there are many other companies that have paper. GinaK has a great black paper and is ideal as a card base so it can be a one layer card if you like.
OK, here's a little peek at the Fabriano Black Black paper - and while I had it out, I did a little white pencil comparison as well. Just so you know you're special... I hardly ever do videos where I just talk while I'm filming without any forethought!
Gee, and to think Blicks is a couple blocks away from Craft Warehouse....might just need to hit both of 'em tomorrow hehehee. Thanks, Dina...looks like a really good buy!
