I made Frenchie's nugget boxes with a gift card holder on the front for Christmas this past year (which was a huge hit!), so that's out. Any ideas for me?
I made some matchbook gift card holders for Christmas (pic below) - they are really easy to make! Just score, fold and stick.

I based mine on Lyssa's tutorial

Thank goodness I only have two teachers to do for.
These are really easy flip flops to make using the Sizzix Daisies #2 Die.

Rain, rain, and more rain. We are 10 inches above our usual average, piers are under water, can't get any yard planning done for fear of getting struck by lightning. Bad tornado with fatalities in my area, thank goodness my friends were spared. I need some sunshine, and a dry day. My son got me a gorgeous plant pot for Mother's Day, and I want to start putting together my "fairy garden."

But I guess I will stamp, and watch the downpours.

I think Pinterest is a great way to find ideas and most link back to the site with a tutorial or explanation.
Here is my folder of collected ideas for Favors.

Hope they help.

I am making some easel post-it note holders for gifts. Not quite done but I finished the main templates and images/embellishments. Need to put them together still.

I hope everyone had a great 4th of July, I ate too many carbs. East Texas has a bumper crop of blueberries and peaches, and I love fresh pies.

Back on the diet wagon

And with it being July, my thoughts go to Christmas. Need to start planning what my craftiness is going to do this season.

I have started Christmas, embroidering snowmen on muslim to make kitchen towels. I am doing the tracing and needlework, another friend is going to do the hemming, adding fabric trim. We have about 15-20 to do, got to get going.

Good for you, Patrice! You are more ambitious than me with your embroidering.

I'm making some kitchen towels for Christmas, but using the easy way. You cut the towels in half and crochet the cute little topper that buttons over your drawer or cabinet pulls. That way you get two from each towel, ha! And then I bought coordinating potholder mitts for each set. I found really cute towels and great colors for the mitts at the Dollar Tree.

Regarding the kitchen towels: I bought a towel at a bazaar last year for my mother that is a half-towel with a topper to button onto a knob or rack. The top on Mama's towel is fabric and has a large button. There was a vendor in a wheelchair across the aisle, so I asked to try it on the arm of his chair and it was perfect. I also knew I could move the button or use elastic thread if I needed to adjust it. Mama uses it all the time and it is a perfect substitute for a napkin or to quickly dab a spill on her clothing. Her favorite use for it is to hide folded Kleenex inside it and let it rest beside her on her wheelchair. Here is a new marketing idea for you: use it for a wheelchair-bound person as a hand-wipe/napkin, maybe making a sign for your craft fair suggesting a use for those in wheelchairs or even on a walker.

You're right, Karen! It would work well for someone in a wheelchair.

Karen,

I would love to send you a couple of the kitchen towels with the crocheted toppers for your sweet mom to use.

If you PM me your mailing address, I will put a couple in the mail to you.

I lost my mother many years ago, and I have a soft spot for people looking after their mothers.

Annette

A great suggestion!!!! May help prevent falls for those same people. Our towels are forever falling on the floor and we have to bend over to pick them up.

Annette, my mom loved the towels! Thank you for your kindness. I'll send you a personal note when the memorial service for my stepdad is over at the end of this week. This is one time when Mama's dementia is somewhat of a blessing. She does understand, but it is not constantly on her mind.

Hey Willowby,

Nothing new lately, but if you start at the beginning, there are some great
ideas and pictures. I have been working 70 hr weeks, so I am just lucky to have clean clothes on. Hopefully things will calm down a little, I have some projects in the making.
