Your welcome Annette! I think it's a cute idea, re-vamped. I'm going to do this for my neighbors this year for Christmas, cute, simple and inexpensive too!

Can't remember if I mentioned seeing these jars. I saw the old vintage blue canning jars at Target, and Sam's, and thought how pretty they would look with snowflake embellishments, silver ribbon. About $14 for a box, not too pricey. Nice cookie tins are $4 and up if you buy them in season. After I store them they get dented looking. And the mint cocoa recipe a few posts up would look great in the jars.

Keep the ideas coming.

I am going to use some dsp to make some five point stars and glitz them up for my tree, and give some as gifts. I am going to try some glass etching on a trifle dish, etch holly leaves, and do some small dessert dishes also. Try is the operative word here, have not done the glass stuff before. lol Finishing up a holiday recipe book, also got some other ideas in the making.

I took paper towel cardboard rolls and cut into sections. Going to cover them in Halloween paper, cut out bat wings and attach. Punch out eyes, glue the bottom shut on the tube, kind of crimp the top to look like bat ears. These will be filled with candy. My third grade grandson's class will get these.

I am going to dig, and dig deep into my craft room, use what I have. I have a bad tendency to just go buy new stuff, and add to the clutter.

Yes. I fought the internal fight tonight (paper hoarding) and just used what I had. I am always trying to save papers because "I might need them for something else"! Doesn't even make sense but I do it.

I have been making some stand-up lip gloss holders for xmas craft shows today. They are almost done but must head to bed now.

Well, it took me over three nonstop hours of cleaning, disposing of, reorganizing, but I now can walk across my scraproom safely. There is now way I could produce any holiday projects in that mess.

Hey Cindy,

Newest trend I see is making gift bows with dies.

I got a flu shot, and felt horrible since, missed work yesterday, first sick day in at least six years. I am so far behind, my admittance clerk is going to stay over, and help get the bat candy boxes ready. This is such a bummer, so much to do.

It's good to be back! I have not stepped into a stamping/scrapbook store in a very long time nor have I ventured down those aisles either. Now I am working on Christmas Card orders and making doll clothes for our niece and goddaughter.

Gift bows with dies.....well, I am a florist and I make great bows without dies. LOL! You must mean with paper and not ribbon. As far as Christmas goes we only put a couple of bows on packages when exchanging gifts with my family.....hubby's family none at all. Not fancy people and just not important.

This is the first time I have seen the elf pillows, and found several poems on Google. Very cute idea, and inexpensive for party favors.

Keep the holiday ideas coming.

Yes, on to Thanksgiving and Christmas. Today, I am finally getting around to putting up the fall decorations in and outside the house. My Brother in California and his wife are coming for Thanksgiving this year. Not staying with me, staying with sister, but still the house needs some sprucing up. Thanksgiving meal will be at sister's house......this is a surprise for Mom.

Anyway, I need to get my cards started this weekend too. I am looking for something clean and simple...thoughts?? I am also thinking to use some of my collected stash to create some table favors......thoughts?

Maybe something like this peppermint patty turkey ? They look easy. The stamp set she used is retired, but there is a similarly shaped current Stampin' Up! set call Daydream Medallions. Or you could hand cut petal shapes for the tail feathers, or use a large scallop circle punch.

I love the little turkey's. I am going to use my fall leaf dies, cut out several leaves in fall colors, emboss, then make a few turkey's to go down a piece of fall fabric, be a very inexpensive table runner, and add some other fall knick nacks I have.

Table is decorated.

My friend Lorraine made this for a table centerpiece at a recent event. It was very popular and I bet you all could sell some:

It is very cute but, it does not fold flat for storage, unfortunately. I would want that and with enough time could figure it out I guess.

I read the instructions briefly for the turkey centerpiece, but I wonder if you could put it together with a few glue dots, then disassemble for storage.
Very cute ideas, and I have got to get to work deciding how to do my Thanksgiving table. I told my husband's family we are doing Thanksgiving/Christmas all in one meal on Thanksgiving Day, and I am going to decorate living room for Christmas, and dining table for Thanksgiving. One meal, just one family encounter (and we all know what I mean by this comment), then on Christmas, everyone can do what they WANT to.

I also told grandsons just four Christmas gifts, something they want, somwthing they need, something to wear, and their most favorite, something to read.

They both acted like they were going to die. lol

Another Christmas idea, grandsons can start doing some "chores around my house and yard", earn money, which they can donate to Salvation Army, or Child Advocacy to help provide gifts for needy children. They need to learn the world does not revolve around them.

Love the washi tape candle idea, would also be a good way to "disguise" a dented or scuffed up candle. Adding this to mt table decor.

One shelf collapsed on my bookcase, all my rubbermaid shelves full of dsp can crashing forward on the floor. Big mess, but a blessing in disguise. Got shelves rearranged, looks more organized, and a little neater.

Working on cards tonight, ER is slow,.

Thank you, I try to be on the bright side. In my profession being in a ER day after day can drag a person down. A wonderful technician that trained me many years ago always said " bloom where you are planted".

I found a great idea at the Dollar Spot at Target. Little holiday buckets with a cut out on the side, tree or ornamnet. Fill in the cutout with a stamped image, or dsp, little ribbon, have a cute container. I may do some gift tags to go in the containers, make a cute co worker gift.

So much to do, so little time. lol
