Not sure f you will come back to see this since you posted awhile ago but here is something I made. It also may not be what you are looking for.

What is a creamer stick? Are they like little individual packets of the flavored creamer? I have never touched coffee, but found plenty of other interesting habits.

Hey Cindy,

You know what I mean, the big cauldron hanging from some type of posts, to suspend it over a fire. This would be a undertaking to design a outdoor kitchen. My great grandmother cooked every day over a woodburning stove, they had a farm, and forty farmhands to feed three meals a day. She baked a dozen pies a day, had three other women to help her. A fire was made outdoors, and beans, and soups were cooked there.

I want a outdoor kitchen, but someone from Lowe's can come install it. lol

LOL! Patrice I know exactly what you are talking about with the cauldron. But, this is not designing an outdoor kitchen....it is an 1860's-1870's kitchen garden.

Your Great Grandmother was an amazing woman for all that she had to do. But, you remember at the time she was doing these things, she had no compairsion to how easy cooking is now days. Not that cooking would be easy with that much food, but, hopefully, you get my meaning.

Anyway...sorry I hijacked the thread.

BTW...quilt it progressing...1/4 of the way finished on piecing the top.

Cool

Hey Cindy,

Okay, I am getting it. A garden to produce food, and herbs to use in the kitchen. Am I getting close?

I need some sleep, and I am on call all night.

Thanks Pia! I have that one bookmarked. I may end up just using a cocoa holder and putting a coffee stick and creamer stick side by side.

A creamer stick is just a pouch of creamer like the coffee stick. They're fairly new and may not have even been around last year.

Mary,

Nice cards on your blog. So many I see are so "overdone", just cluttered, and junky looking to me.

Off to clean off my kitchen cabinets.

Hey Cindy,

My blog is a work in progress www.worldsoldesthomeroommother.com

There is a link to this in a previous post, probably on a page back from this post. Some recipes, and I am working on cards for SU regionals in Ft. Worth next month, so I will get a photo up on those in a few days.

I came across an idea for making a Kitchen Counter/Desk Organizer out of an empty box. I used an empty microwave popcorn box, but the idea I saw used a large empty Kleenex box. I am thinking this would be a great gift for family and friends who like to keep things organized like me.

Kitchen Counter/Desk Organizer

I have been doing a happy dance since Sunday - - Candy Corn has hit the stores in my area! My 24 'pumpkin poop's' are completed! Now the hunt is on for Autumn wrapped kisses for the 35 small Thanks giving pillow boxes (that my daughter will bring to dinner at her boyfriend's house for dinner-) so I am still on the hunt for another Thanksgiving idea for my dinner - and have to wait for the Christmas goodies to hit so I can put together the rest of the treats that I have prepped - 50 Snowmen peep S'mores and 12 cocoa boxes.
Already have the 27 memo note tins and magnets completed (need to add pics in my gallery) and the 2 file portfolios that I needed. I have my Thanksgiving and (all but eight ) Christmas cards done - so with that said I have moved on to Valentine's goodies - so far I have 15 Ghirardelli boxes done for the guys and will be making 20 small purses for the ladies - have 2 done so far - it takes time to trace score and assemble each one - so I have plenty of time to get them done! I am waiting for my Bashful blue ink pad to arrive so I can finish up Christening Invites, thank you and favors for my Great-Nephew's day on Oct 16th, than I will start goodies for Easter, than all the goodies for my daughter's graduation! At the rate I am going I will be starting my Christmas stuff (already have some ideas rolling about) for 2011by the end of Sept!!!! LOL
No wonder I don't sleep to great at night - I have way to many ideas floating in my head!

Sending some energy your way! I started VERY early in Feb- getting my holiday and a yrs worth of other occasion cards made, then moved on to projects that I wanted to accomplish - I make a point to go down in the workroom at least 3- 4 nights a week and get at least one project accomplished within the few hours I am there - some nights nothing gets accomplished - I may just sit there and watch TV or browse through my stamp books or organize something nearby,or go in a completely other crafting mode (cross stitch, beading, or quilting). Fri night I spent 2 hrs finishing up the 8 Christmas cards hubby needs for his Card playing group, Saturday I ran down and worked for a couple hours and only got 1 card done and rewrote my worksheet of upcoming items to be done and my continuous shopping list - which is mostly food and candy needed to complete things - I have been trying to use supplies that I have to make the projects and cards - heading off to a SU workshop on Sunday - only buying 2 single stamps and the rest is the new inks and papers....... so in a week or so I will be organizing those items into the stockpile............ the organizing never seems to end!!

You may have to go to an antique store to get it with the zinc lids.

I just loved Heather site!! I have some old jars with the glass lids held in place by metal and was thinking about using them in a craft for the fall craft shows until I looked them up on the web and found out they could be worth $24 to $28 a piece as is. Do you know if this is true or not? Wouldn't want to decorate them for a craft show and sell for less if they are really worth that much as is.

I have some nice blue/green glass ones with the glass lid that I love. I wouldn't be surprised if they were worth that much, but I bet there are plenty to be found.
