Here is a link for those of you who would like to make some spa items to give as Christmas gifts:

They are from Paula Deens' niece, Corrie.

Hey Mary,

The spas items are fantastic, copying these away. And I like your blog, great card inspirations, and recipes.

When I get a few moments I am going to get my blog started. My title will be " World's Oldest Home Room Mother". People keep asking me for my recipes, and ideas, they can go to the blog.

I got to get my dad's Father's day card made, and his gift card in the mail tonight. At age 86, I am so blessed to have him around.

OK, so maybe this one is not very gift friendly, but who would want to give it away anyhow??

Hey Jan,

That is my very favorite recipe, and so versatile, can use other cake mixes for the base, I love the spice cake/pumpkin in the filling combo.

I was out looking at fat quarters today, got some projects lined up.

Cool

The gardens are doing great here in east Texas, so I have corn on the cob, fresh asparagus, green beans, new potatoes, Noonday onions, romaine salad.Throw some rib eyes on the grill, strawberry cake with chocolate icing. The dad's here will be "eating good" as we say here out in the country.

And I made several Father's day cards, and sold them all. Dh and son will just have to eat,and open gifts without them. I am out of time.

Thanks for the inspiration, I have been thinking that it would be nice to start my Christmas tags now. Make them when I don't have other projects going on and store them in a small rubbermaid container

I'm looking for a good and inexpensive source (online or retail) for mini composition books and small (locker size) clip boards. Thanks in advance for your help. BTW, the key word in this post is INEXPENSIVE (but not low quality). I do have the option of buying in quantity.

Try Dollar tree if you have one locally or try them online - you have to buy bulk online but may be worth it if you need a lot and can get them!- they usually have the notebooks 3/1.00 and in the past have had the clipboards for $1.00 ea! - Although being summertime they may not they them - might have to wait till JulyAugust when the stores start stocking the school supplies

Back to school time would be the time to look for both items, I noticed bins full of both sizes of the comp books at Target last year.

Monica mentions a Five Flower punch on her site, when mentioning the bookmarks. Is that an SU product? I wouldguess it is, but I have never heard of it before. Can someone tell me more about it?

Might be a cute idea for cash Christmas presents or gift cards for guys

I used this idea today to make a Happy Birthday present for my step-grandfather who always only wants cash (a hard thing for a girl who makes all her presents!)

It's a men's billfold. I'm finishing mine up, but since he only wants cash, I'll put a $20 in the main cash pocket, then in two of the gift card pockets I will put little cards - one with a happy birthday stamped on it and the other a personal message from me and my signature. Great for Father's Day, Birthdays or Christmas.

Just a tip: For the "stitching" instead of hand piercing all the holes, I used my pierce-bug by EK Success in the groove of my Scor-Pal. I drew my line FIRST then pierced it. Super easy and it turned out great with exactly even piercing and stitches.

Judy....here is a picture of the Extra Fancy Flower punch...I believe that you can still order it as a carry over from the Spring mini, just contact a SU demo and they should be able to help you. Heck it may even be in the new catalog too.

Yes, it is an SU! punch... item #118073 called Fancy Flower Extra Large for $16.95... shown on page 201 of the 2010-2011 Idea Book & Catalog. The flower measures approximately two inches across.

Catalog will be available after July 1, 2010 from a Demo or online. Be sure and check out all of the other neat punches available in the new 'sleeker compact body'.

the items are nice but I can't seem to print anything from that site...it also says you cannot sell any of the images for profit... so much for using any of them for craft sales!

Hmm...I printed out just fine. I thought people could use these for personal gifts for family and friends. You could always ask the lady about selling made-up items...she doesn't want people putting them on dvd's and selling her art work, from what I read on her homepage.

Something that I just made similar to this I call Hawaiian surprise. In a 13x9 pan you add a can of crushed pineapple and a can of cherry pie filling, then you pour a yellow cake mix over the top, smooth it out and pour 1 1/2 sticks of melted butter over the cake mix and bake at 350 degrees for one hour. It is VERY good and too is very rich, so Cool Whip or ice cream helps tone it down a bit.

I am looking for Christmas gift ideas and I came across this form today. It is great seeing several sites with ideas on them, now all I have to do is decide which one! I just started a blog and have posted fun gift ideas that I have made including: altered clipboards, window frame message board, desk calendars, etc., so if you would like to check it out it is:

I really like the magnetic flashing inside the frame- I just bought the flashing yesterday, and I am loving the idea to put it in a frame! It really finishes it off nice, and I know I can get 5x7 frames at the dollar store. Thanks for sharing!
