I just finished filling the cake decorating bags with cheese puffs, and tying off with curly ribbon. Got a box full of "cheesy carrots", to be delivered in the morning to grandson's kindergarten class. My hands are orange for sure.

Patrice -

Thanks for the warning about orange hands!

I'm making 20 of those same carrots this week for my DS's teachers and will be sure to wear gloves when I put them together

LOL! I will be making these this week too....figured that my DD's class will be getting enough candy that maybe these might be a "better" alternative!

Can you give me a rough idea of how much fit into each bag before I head to the grocery store?

Thanks in advance!

I fixed 16 of the bags, and it took almost three full bags of the big cheese puffs, glad I grabbed that third bag, I just had a feeling it would take more than I thought.

The cookies in the picture are the cake mix cookies.

1 box Pillsbury cake mix
2 eggs
1/3 cup oil
Mix together, roll in small balls, roll in sugar,
flatten out on greased cookie sheet, bake 8-10 minutes
at 350 degrees. These do spread a little bit. I usually get
around 30 cookies per batch.

I have this recipe too! These are so GOOD and so easy to make, I always try to have the ingredients on hand for "quick, easy cookies". Oh, I use one of those scoops that hold around 2 Tbps. which makes it even easier and faster to make!

Default Another idea

I posted this on the other Craft Fair thread, but thought you all might get some ideas from this too!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
These are the latest project that I have been making for my craft fairs this year. (Spring, Fall and Holidays) They are Magnetic Message Boards!
Attached to each board will be a decorated matching mini clothespin (magnet) holding 1/2 of a post it note pad, mini gel pen and a handmade (magnet) embellishment. These memo boards are approximately 5"x7". You could also skip the ribbon and just put more magnets on the back for inside a school locker!
The message board part is a 5x7 sheet of galvanized metal step flashing (roof shingles)! Very inexpensive to work with and I can use my "Corner Chomper" to round the corners! You have to sand the corners a little bit because they can get really sharp. You can see my embellishments in the right hand corner of each message board.
Still working on packaging for these....which has been a little tricky. I'm not really fond of ziploc bags but so far that is all I have found! Any suggestions?
There are a few more samples on my blog if you care to take a peek!
Thanks for looking!
Beth
Hey Beth,
These note boards are very cute. Where do you find the metal shingles?
As far as packaging, you could cut the ziploc part off the top of a ziploc bag,gallon size, then tie up with curly ribbon, if the bag is big enough around the note board.
The only place I have found the "galvanized" (magnetic) shingles is at Lowe's. They come in packages of 100 for $20.00.
Hope that helps!
All of the above! I have used felt flowers that I cut with my CB, mounted stickers or foamies and also matching die cuts! Whatever I can find that looks "right" I have been using and throwing a magnet on the back!
