PM me at your convience with your e-mail addy. It will not be any problem to send you all that you request. Just remind me what you want.

I am still working on that list....promise.....again. Too many life changing issues last year to finish it. Now that it is the new year.....I can give it a go!

Your scrapbooks sound really great....a lot of work but, I am sure that everyone loved getting them and will enjoy them for many years to come!! If you check out my gallery, I did some word book albums.....big hit last year. Only did one album this year for my younger brother who is disabled. We took him to Disney World in March and I wanted him to have a reminder of that vacation. Big hit!!

I made one for my niece from birth -age 6 and my nephew birth- age 4. Also made on for my sil of a day at the zoo with our whole family.

Cindy I know you posted a couple of things last year when the thread started, however I thought maybe you would still have the directions on your computer. I am totally interested in the tote bags and pillow cases. Also am very interested if you did the list last year of everything that people suggested? I know you are wanting to do it for this year too, so very time consuming. If you were able to get it done I would greatly appreciate a copy of it, if you have kept it ooh and If I may ask for the Calendar directions too, sorry if this is too much

I love the recipe book idea. I think I am going to incorporate the quick/easy recipes since everyone's life is always so busy. If anyone has any ideas please share.

I do have on cookie recipe to share that we just love. you take 1 egg, 1 cup peanut butter and one cup sugar. mix all ingredients, roll into small balls, flatten with fork. bake at 350 for 10-12 minutes

I look forward to getting to know all you ladies!!

I am tired, I went to Jazzercise, then came home to watch Biggest Loser. Off to bed I go.

I bought all my stuff at WalMart for the lotion, and I think the pleasant scent of the baby lotion, and the non fragrance of the vaseline, it balances out. The scent of my lotion was pleasant, going to whip up another batch for Valentine's.

Stampin Up has jumped into a little bit of jewelry, pendants. You can stamp cardstock, and make the necklace a piece of wearable art. But they are a little pricey. Has anyone else seen a supply of decent pendants? Making Memories has some, but they look like a light plastic, and you have to buy glass inserts for them. I guess I will bite the bullet, and order those from SU, but there has got to be a cheaper alternative somewhere?

So, just wondering, if you would share one of your plain biscuit recipes with us. I have always wondered what the difference is between biscuits and cookies. Just curious I suppose.

Our biscuit recipe is exactly the same as US cookie recipe, only the name has changed, US biscuit recipe is like our scone or damper recipe LOL
Our 1 cup measuring cup and spoon size is different to, I think but don't quote me, it has to do with our metric measures and US ounce measures?

My plain Biscuits
150g softened butter
1/3 cup castor sugar (super fine)
2/3 cup brown sugar
1 egg
1 cup self raising flour
1/2 plain flour
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/3 cup of fine oats
(optional 1 cup mixed choc chips)
Beat butter and sugars in mixer.
Add egg slowly to mix
Mix in all flours, baking powder, sifted, then fold in choc chips.
Roll into balls and flatten, bake at 170*C ( I think that is 350*F (?))
for 20 minutes or until cooked.
I mix this all in the mix master.

When I did the peanut butter ones I omitted the choc chips and popped in the peanut butter and that is what they didn't like LOL

Hey Patrice-

I have bought the Making Memories stuff and I like it. It is metal. The ones I bought are a 1.5 in square I think. I am at work and not at home to look at it. If you like I have some extra I would be willing to send you one that you could play with if you wish. I also have a link at home to a company that sells them cheaper. Just let me know. Thanks.

Het Betz,

Thanks so much, I went by M's yesterday, and they had a package of the pendants, so I bought one, they don't look too bad, and with a pretty insert, and a decent chain, would make it look okay. If you don't mind posting the link, I could compare prices. I like the ability to switch out the inserts.

Thanks so much

I have some pictures of a family scrapbook/cookbook that I made a couple of years ago for my brother, sister and myself in my gallery. Our parents are deceased and it was a labor of love. My siblings told me that I would never top this gift. I scanned my mom's handwritten recipes and printed them out on mainly index cards or if I didn't have hand-written recipes I typed them up. The handwritten ones look like the original recipe cards...stains and all. : ) I am attaching a couple of the pages.

bonniejo,
That cookbook is AMAZING! I may do something similar for my sister. We lost our step-mother (who is the one who taught us to cook) in '97. My sister is a little hard to buy for.

BTW, StampinGoodDeeds (Susan) posted Tues. that CVS has all their Christmas merchandise marked 75% off. I went there this morning and bought 2 piece stationary sets (1 small mechanical pencil with matching sticky note pad) for 25 cents each. I bought all they had. I thought I could use them to make sticky note holders for presents next year.

As I am cleaning up the last remants of Christmas, the lightbulb went on in my head. What am I going to do with these old Christmas cards? Well, recycle them of course!

Get plain colored gift bags, the ones at M's that have nothing on them and cut out the front of the card and attach to the front.....instant decorated bag! Add a homemade tag with raffia or cord and you are finished.

I have to get the colored bags before I can do them. But, I have saved my cards....FOR YEARS!! For what purpose?? I guess this was it!! Suppose it pays to hoard!! LOL!

11 months and 17 days till Christmas .............. LOL

I've still got lots of card fronts from over the years, I cut the fronts off and recycle the backs. I don't keep all the fronts though if I don't like it, those I pop in a box or bag and give to the kindy that my boys used to attend many years ago, they love that stuff along with ribbons and buttons and stuff.
My mum is just starting her card making, so I've given her some of my extra fronts to play with.
Popping on the bags is great and boxes also. I've now got a scorpal and I made up plain boxes and use those card fronts there.

Whoo whee it's cold here. 14 degrees last night, we are not used to heavy wool, gloves, even hats here in Texas.

I've been working on a rag quilt purse today, you cut the squares out with your big shot scallop die, boy does that make it go FAST!! I got my material on Friday morning, and have the purse 3/4 of the way completed! I bought the instructions for the purse from here:
http://www.chicknscratch.com/2010/01...tions-dvd.html
http://www.chicnscratchlive.com/2009...rse-video.html
Watch the three videos first to see how easy it is to make. The lady who made the videos, Angie Kennedy Juda, didn't start sewing until this pass September! I got fabric with dogs on it, paw print/bones and poke-a-dots. When I get it done, hopefully tomorrow, I'll post a picture here to share!

Hey Mary,

Thanks for the link, I had run across the idea a few eeeks ago, got the die, got the material, and that's as far as it went. Got some preggo's waddling around the work area, will be a great diaper bag idea.
I am sick of this cold, I could never live in a area that has winter for several months.

Grandson's are here tonight, dad has to go to work early tomorrow morning, poor boys would have to be loaded in the car at 2:30 a.m., and I will not have that, especially when I don't have to be at work in the morning. Guess I better check if my fleece jogging outfit is out of the laundry basket, I will need it in the morning, be 18 degrees.

Spongebob here I come

Patrice, funny you should mention preggo's, I had thought about doing a crib size baby quilt with this idea, what do you think, yes/no?? If you do a diaper bag, you might need to make it a tad larger than shown.

Go to YOUTUBE, and type in rag quilt purse, all the video tutorials come up, three of them, great visual instructions. I will make mine a little larger, but that will take eight more squares, to make the bag a little deeper.

Has anyone made pot scrubbers??? Saw them at a craft sale and they were gone when I found out where they were sold. Looked like nylon tule knotted or braided about 3inches and semi round.
