Default Need help

I have been searching for 2 recipes I used from Splitcoast last year and loved them both.
One is the cream made with vitamin E, coco butter and vaseline. Love that recipe.
Second is the Almond Roca.
Both make great gifts and everyone loved them last year!

Please - any help finding these recipes would be appreciated.

Thank you
Annette

Annette,

Go to the search box, type in Denise's hand lotion, and almond roca, and the posts will come up. If you go halfway through this thread you can find the hand lotion "recipe".

HTH

The realization just hit me, that there are other holidays and occasions through out the year. So I am going to make a checklist, and if I didn't get that person a card in the mail at Christmas, then I can do Valentine's, or Easter. Stop this crazy overload in December, it took two trips from the car today into the post office, then dropping stuff everywhere, and other people just as frenzied as I was.

I'm a genius. Now just got to make the checklist. Life was easier when I could go to WalMart and buy some Christmas cards. lol

Well, I am so happy that some of the stress is off me......gifts to teachers/therapists/bus driver and aide done, shopping....only 1 person remaining (waiting for it to arrive from the man in brown), cards done, decorating done, menu planned and almost all items bought....and...the biggie, finals over!

Still have to wrap, clean carpet downstairs, bake a few batches of cookies and fudge and finish the gifts for the neighbors. Not too bad!

How is everyone else doing?

Patrice, you sound like you are on the right track! Got some cards from folks that I did not send to.....so, I am going to take your lead and send Valentine's cards!!

Awhile back they (maybe the greeting card companys) tried to get people to send New Years cards (just in case you didn't get you Christmas cards mailed out before Christmas)..does anyone else remember that? I think it was about 3 or 4 years ago, I don't think it caught on though.

Don't you hate when you have chocolate everywhere you touch LOL I don't !
I've just been making chocolates but in a slice tray with baking paper and cutting into small squares, then either wrapping or eating.
I've made the usual rocky road, a tray with rice bubble or crispies, a tray with broken choc biscuits (ones you'd make s'mores(?) out of) and coconut, half a tray with broken pretzels from a packet and half a tray with roughly chopped roasted almonds.
I have licked the bowl clean and ds2 has helped, a hard job but some oen had to do it!
Let it all set and cut up ..... then put the sign on the container to say 'don't touch'
Melted a block of choc in a bowl over a pot of water, several bowls as it's easier to add the extras to the choc than the other way round. Easy

I bought a set of clear stamps, and it had a nice New Years stamp that fit one of my SU punches, so I did some blue and silver cards. Several people commented they had never gotten a New Year's card before.

I have been cleaning up some of the chaos in the sew/scrap room, and I came across an idea for NEXT year. Cheap, easy, and something that can be worked on year round.

Gotta get my eggnog poundcake out of the oven.

That's what we do. Everyone sends out Christmas cards, so I thought we'd be different and send out New Year well wishes instead.

Is that like a $1 shop? We have many of those and as usual probably the same thing under a different name LOL makes things confusing on occasion!

Both boys 15 and 19 are hard to buy for, they don't want much (although that can be a good thing LOL) 19yo works and has his own money and 15yo he uses his brothers stuff .... there are always movie tickets I guess .....?

Okay....too tired of working on tu tu play skirt....made a mess of it. Giving up for tonight!! UGH!

Tomorrow is marathon wrapping day, finishing the little bags of goodies for our four really close neighbors and maybe making a batch of the pretzel hugs and a batch of refrigerator fudge. Wednesday is the last of the food shopping and packing for us to go to hubby's family in Wisconsin on Friday for a week.

Anyone else traveling long distance?

Hi, Patrice -- I was just in Michaels during the lunch hour today, and the lines were better than usual. They had four checkouts open and there was no waiting.

Cool

It wasn't too bad after work, they had all checkouts manned (gasp), so I saved five dollars on a new giga heart shaped punch. Some people hunt, ski for thrills. I shop.

Hey Lindy,

I say we keep this thread fired up for another year. Honest, I am going to start in July all my projects. I did iron and fold up neatly all my bits of Christmas fabric, and put in the bedroom of my guest house. So I wrote in my 2010 dayplanner on July 1st, where I stashed what. And I found some rubbermaid tubs that will fit on my closet shelves, and I will put all my Christmas stamps in it, keep them all together, and again marked the dayplanner. If anyone comes across a great after holiday sale on stuff, let us know, especially anything that can be used for Valentine's.
