I am still debating between then $99 kit and the $199 kit. I have a lot of stuff already, but I could always get the in color stamp pads and some in color cardstock with the substitutions in the $199 and hey, I could always use more stamp sets!

any doubles you get of things in the kit (scissors, pastels, etc) you can always use an incentives or prizes or whatever. (or trade here)

my husband has the ps3 and actually secretly loves that I have this hobby so he has more time for video games! He just wishes it were a cheaper hobby. He likes to remind me that he only spends $50 every once in awhile for a new video game while I spend way more than that on stamps. I remind him that his video games don't make pretty cards! lol

Right...don't let him know how much you have spent...it's how much you SAVE by not buying cards at the store!

that's a good point Jessica. Plus I don't have any wheels. I saw someone using one on a blog where she didn't use a cartridge, she just used her ink pad to ink it up. Does that work just as well?

That works great, as long as you're doing it on a card. That doesn't work for a scrapbook page or wrapping paper or anything more than about 6".

I've already tried that angle Jessica but I don't think he is buying it anymore! lol Although now he tells me I can make our Christmas cards this year. We always do a picture one. I saw on one of the boards from convention that someone did one with a picture inside. Does anyone know how to do that? It almost looked like an "envelope" type thing on the outside, with a photo that you pull out.

Was it a pocket card?

Or a trifold?

It would seem cheaper to do it that way instead of buying all the ink cartridges. I still need to do my wedding scrapbook from 5 1/2 years ago, but haven't been motivated to do it. I'm having too much fun making cards so I think just rolling it in the ink pad will work for me for now.

hmmm..it looked more like a pocket only wider. Either one of those would work for me I think though. Thanks!

yep. it's tough to get a picture of them together. The big one doesn't like the camera. I was bribing them with popcorn for this shot around Christmas hoping to get a good picture of them to put on the card. They didn't want to cooperate though.

So cute Jessica! I have one of Wally (the bigger one) in a santa sweater and hat that I will have to make my avatar around Christmas time. It was taken when he was less than a year old and that is why he doesn't like me to take his picture now! lol

I heard something about having to have the website for people to do the online ordering. Anyone know more about that?

If you have a website, you will get your full 20% commission on the order. If you do not have a website, you will receive 10% commission.

It's from the sampler or the fall/winter 2008 catalog (so basically the new big catty since the sampler is from the big catty!)

Just talked to SU about the kit, you still will have to have $300 in sales every 3 months, but do get 30% commission on your first order of $150 within 45 days of signing. So if you submit smaller orders and want to wait to get the special in October, you could wait and submit a larger order then for 30% off. I'm hoping I can convince my previous downline to resign as a demonstrator.
