If things frustrate you with the upgrades... be patient
The moderators and administrators will get things in tip top shape! They don't want it to be slow any more than WE do! ;) They're not slowing it down to torture us, they're slowing it down to make things BETTER!
If you don't like something about the new layout..... be patient
It takes our minds a little while to get used to change... but within a few weeks, you'll forget what the old stuff looked like entirely ;) Keep working at it, you'll find everything you need!
P.S. Now I gotta go PM JBalcer and tell her to hurry up and approve my stuff, UGH, what is she thinkin' bein so slow! Is she out to get me???? ;) only kidding of course ;)

THanks for posting this....change can be hard, and a little frustrating! But you are so right...in a couple weeks, we will all be cruising the new gallery features and saying SCS ROCKS!

thanks for the reminder mama, it is easy too get frustrated when things aren't going as fast as we'd like. but knowing what is to come makes it worth the wait.

I live in constant awe and amazement of this site. I have nothing but respect for Davin and crew. I'm really amazed that it runs as well as it does. Maybe it is because I have high speed internet, but it rarely feels like it is lugging to me and I'm only even more impressed that they are making the upgrades that they are working on now.
If someone hasn't contributed, please do. These sites are EXPENSIVE to run. It's a community service they are running. I hope they are writing off on their taxes...
I don't complain about any of the frustrations here because I know that if I'm experiencing them, the moderators and Daven are probably having the same problem and are already on it!
I figure that this site is FREE if we so choose...but of course donations are what pays for these awesome upgrades...anyway...I would never complain about something as wonderful as this site that doesn't cost it's users a dime! This is an awesome site!

I am right there with you. I am amazed on how fast the gallery is now!
I don't know if I'm doing something wrong, but ever since the changes it's been taking me FOREVER to access and move through the galleries and I can't access the "today's recent additions" section off the home page at all (never comes up). I have asked another demo in GA to check her access too and she's running in to the same issues. Any suggestions??? :? I am going through some major gallery withdrawal!!!
My times for getting anywhere are taking a really long time, too. I gave up on the galleries this a.m. and still haven't been able to look at new stuff. I will be patient, though, bc BIG D is doing his best. I will try what Julia suggested.
Another possible problem, yesterday, Bell South had big problems with their internet service. E-mail and internet in like 7 seven states was down. Thankfully, not where I live, but my DH's HQ is in AL and it was all screwed up! DH kept trying to fix it from here (he's their webmaster) and finally had to go to the source. Aha!
