Default Jersey Shore paper

I live at the Jersey Shore, so I was very surprised to see the title of this paper in the new catalog. It's very nice, but I can't imagine how they came up with the name. Blue and orange are the colors of the New York Mets...definitely not a Jersey thing. The East Coast Prep is easy to understand with the argyle, but I'm just puzzeled by the Jersey Shore one. I'm pleased that we got something nice named after us since New Jersey is usually the butt of jokes.

I agree. Just back from First Night in OC, and I didn't see a ton of orange and blue. It's almost more Maine to me--lobsters and the ocean? Ah, as you said, at least Jersey is getting named for something pretty!

Nancy,

I thought the exact same thing as you.......very pleased to see the name but the colors and design? I didn't get it.

I love the Jersey shore!

I grew up in NY state, just over the Jersey line and now live in PA. I, too, wondered who in the world came up with the color scheme. Not what I would have pictured AT ALL!
