Default Jacob's Ladder

I've just made my first Jacob's Ladder album--actually have made 3 of them. I'm ready to decorate them for the grand daughters' birthdays. All the ones I saw in the gallery had the pictures/images behind the ribbons. Is this necessary or can I place my punch art and stamped cutouts and tags over the ribbons and still have it work?

It won't work. If you look very carefully as the pages flip, you'll see that the ribbon needs to be able to lift clear of the coaster, and the strands of ribbonsort of cross over each other.
They are fun, though, aren't they . I don't know what ribbon you've used - I used a pale sheer organza for the only one I've made so far, so it's as unobtrusive as possible.

Thanks. I was afraid that was the case. I used 1/4" grosgrain on all of them.
