We're expecting 10-12 inches today. I don't have to work and my kids' activities are cancelled . We've got movies, snacks and I'm ready to learn AT LEAST 2 new techniques today. And thanks to that absolutely wonderful Beate, i can learn right here on SCS!!!!
I had to cancel a workshop today due to the snow! It hasn't stopped snowing since midnight! My husband asked me to shovel before he gets home from work. I told him to forget it! By the time I get five feet down the drive way, I'll have to start over! Not to mention that this is the perfect day to lock myself in the basement and stamp my head off! Well, maybe just stamp my hand off!
How fun!!!!!! Wish I was there sounds like my kind of day!!! I live in Surprise Arizona, which is just outside of Phoenix were ther is no snow in sight.......ever!!!!!!!!!! Have fun and enjoy a day of stamping and family!!!

Me, too, Michelle! We rescheduled for next Friday evening. I'm using this unexpected free time to get everything ready for my next few upcoming workshops in addition to the one from today. Saves on prep time later and then I can stamp the rest of the day away!
Unfortunately, I had to cancel a big scrapbooking event scheduled for Friday night because of the snow - but am going to turn it in to a positive by spending much of the day in my stamp room, too. Doesn't sound like we'll get "dug out" until sometime tomorrow. What a perfect excuse to "play" inside!

We got the snow yesterday - I was at work and wanted to be stuck instide stamping all day! Today it's gorgeous out. The snow is all pretty and the sun is shinning! But, it's COLD! So, I'm thinking I'm going to stay inside and STAMP STAMP and a bit of cleaning!

Me too, and I love snow, but a great day to do things I dont seem to get done. But today is a good stay in day, so I too, am stamping, my VD gifts and cards and who know what else just might get done. We have a foot on the ground now and are expecting more. Calling for blizzard like conditions here with 25-35mph winds with gusts up to 40, do we'll be burried by evening. Everyone enjoy.
It's blowin and snowin here in Lincoln, Illinois, too. My craft table has Twinklin H2O's and a new Aqua Painter waiting on it for me. Yep! SCS and stamping all day. I'm nearly finished with one of Kimberly's Progressive swap projects. It's only 12 out and I imagine colder with the chill factor.

Even though I love our 65+ degree weather here the past 5 days in the mountains of Colorado....WE WANT SNOW!!! Please send us some so I can stamp the day away too! Girl Scouts and a b-day party are calling us out of the house.
I'm so jealous, it's already 70 here at 8:30 this morning and I am so tired of the heat, I want some cold (maybe not actually snow, but some cold) so I can bundle up in winter clothes (that haven't been out of my closet since we moved here) and stamp all day.
We got at least 12 inches and it's windy and drifting. I was going to stamp all day, but then my DS wanted to go outside. It took 15 mins to bundle him up and he was back in in about 20 mins! All in all there went about 45 mins of my afternoon! I'd rather be inside watching it then going out in it!
Location: This must be heaven...there are stamps & scrapbooks EVERYWHERE!!!

Well, Buffalo, NY is living up to it's reputation...SNOW!!! Luckily, I had a successful SAB Workshop last night. Nothing left to do but play and plan next month's Stamp Camp.

I'm stamping today too -- working on a paint can swap. We have about 8 to 10 inches out and it's starting to get windy. None of us have plans today so DH & I are held up in the basement working on our own stuff and the kids are playing. Great day to stay inside!!!
I'm recovering from ankle surgery, looks like I'll be in all day! I guess I can start stamping now that I caught up on my school stuff (I'm a teacher and have been home since surgery). I bet some of my students won't be happy with me. I called home today. Hmmm...I wonder if they will have to shovel??

I am so jealous. It was 73 degrees the last time I checked and I want it to be colder! I guess that is to be expected living in Houston, Texas. We are expecting a cold front to blow through later in the day, and tomorrow we will only have highs in the 50's! WooHoo!
Yipppeeee....who would have ever thought that you would like snow. I am going to get some stamping time in today too (Grand Rapids, MI,here). I remember when I was teaching (before I started having kids) I used to love snow because it meant the possibility of a snow day!!!!!! The only thing I didn't like were the cold temperatures because that meant indoor recess. Where I taught that meant that you didn't get a recess break because the kids stayed in and played in the classroom.
Okay - it is approximately 5 degrees out in VERY cold Eastern Massachusetts (about 40 miles South of Boston). It is CCCCCCCCCOOOOLLLDDD!!! We are expecting the storm to begin here around 3:30-4. I just heard the latest expectations - anywhere between 20-36 inches!!!! 36 inches!!!!! YIKES!! I don't mind the snow honestly. I don't like the frigid cold, but I don't mind the snow. The hard part - I have a dog and have to walk her!! The best part - staying in and stamping my heart out!!!!
OOOO, I remember Buffalo weather! I used to live in East Aurora! Good ol' lake effect snow! Actually, I kind of miss it. Here is SW WI the winters seems to be kind of mild! But we did get 8-10" of snow last night and today so we're getting there!!!!!!!!!!
Hi MadgeRPh...I'm in Harrisburg too! Don't you just love it today. I just finished cards for two swaps and now I'm going to start working on some Christmas cards for 2005. Hope everyone is staying warm and enjoying the snow.
We're enjoying a leisurely day here, too! We got 4-6 inches last night, and it's still snowing and starting to blow. Not planning on going anywhere. DH has been out once already to snow blow the driveway and sidewalk, but other than that we are staying close to the fire and I'm going to spend some quality time with my stamps!
Snowin' and Stampin' here in Maryland! I finally am getting to do my swap so I can get it in the mail! My DH said maybe I should be cleaning...........nah! Why do that when I can stamp! Son is up in his room being quiet, not even bugging to go out in the snow! (I don't think he feels good
So I will get one thing off my to do list today!
And the swap I am doing even has snow on it! Kind of put me in the mood!
Snowin all day here in Erie, PA too. But that didn't stop our original SCS group meeting this morning! I used to live in East Aurora too! My family is still there.
I'm jealous!! Not of the snow, but the whole day to stamp. I finished the wedding invitations I am doing for my SIL and then my arm and neck hurt from inking large stamps. I'm done for the day since the boys will wake up soon.
Well I'm jealous of everybody! Those that got to stay in out of the snow and those that have nice warm temps. I'm in the middle of that snow storm and I had to spend an hour driving to work this morning and another hour driving home tonight. With weather like this I'd rather be home and if I'm going to work I want nice weather! Why, oh why am I still here in NW Indiana?

Here in NW Ohio we got 10 inches of snow! Yeah! But i did not get any stamping done today, but got caught up on other things, so tomorrow I WILL be stamping ! Anybody else out there from NW Ohio?
