Default Incredibly Stupid Crystal Effects Question

It's better to look stupid and ask then mess up your first bottle of Crystal Effects, yes?

So... I unscrewed the cap, removed the safety-seal-for-my-protection, and now can't figure out how I'm supposed to put a hole in the applicator tip... Do I clip it with scissors, stick it with a pin, or what?

Okay, get a chuckle out of this question, but then give advice, please!

Thanks,
Jeanne

I clipped mine with scissors. The first time that I clipped the tip, I didn't get enough of a flow so I had to go back.

Better to clip a little than too much!

The first time I did it, I pushed a pin through. It clogged too much. So ... I went back and cut it. Just be very careful not to cut too far down ... it will make the hole too big.

Crystal Effects can be used to adhere just about anything, including microbeads. I use it to adhere the magnet to a tile. It is truly wonderful stuff!

Here is another tip : I keep a paper clip handy to push through the tip before I use CE because it tends to get clogged between uses.

Thanks, ladies! I gathered up my courage and clipped a tiny bit off - no hole, so another tiny bit - it worked! I applied it to my image and it's perfect... have a great night!

Jeanne, that is NOT a stupid question. I did a really stupid THING when I got my first bottle - I snipped off the CAP!!!!! When I advertised my problem, a stamper came to my rescue and sent me a cap of a bottle she had just finished.

I taped a big quilters pin to it with scotch tape. That way I always have something handy to "unplug" it. I love that stuff.

I keep a box of toothpicks handy for different things. I push the tip through when it gets clogged, then I can just throw it away...no mess. I love this stuff, too.
