A car person I am not! LOL!
Hee! I don't even go by the color of my car....I go by hitting the little button on the thingy that honks the horn and if that car honks, it's mine! Snort!

No I did not change my tire. I drove up the road a little to an oil changing place, they put enough air in it to get me to a tire changing place and then I drove to the Cindy working place. I thought I was quite brilliant to think to do that!!!!! Are you still impressed?

You are a lucky one....although blow outs can be scary. That probably wouldn't not even phase me as I am driving along concentrating really hard on the idea that just popped into my head when the lady crossed the street in front of me at the crosswalk. The lady that had on an awesome pink and purple polka dotted pair of capris that inspired me to make show the world....I can make a card like that!!! Tee Hee!

i was flagged down by the guy in line behind me at the McDonald's drive through to tell me about my flat. Thankfully the McDonalds was only a block from my house (and a freak thing that I had even stopped that morning) and the wonderful mechanic/auto shop I use was in the same shopping center as the McD's. So I slowly rolled over, they gave me a good natured ribbing, fixed it up, and I was on my merry way. whew!

So, yeah...

I was driving to work one day when I thought I heard a helicopter flying directly above me. I stopped at the read light and was trying to look up to see where this maniac was. Then I looked at the lady in the car next to me, who was staring at my tire in utter disbelief.

Boy did I feel sheepish...

Sure it was a happy ending, but I haven't heard anyone else here say that they thought the sound thier flat tire made sounded like a helicopter!!

Egads, how fast was I going??

Just goes to show you that I should NEVER drive before coffee.

When I was in high school, I got in my little car to go home, not knowing that some jerk slashed my tire. I started to drive and something felt weird. A girl flagged me down and told me that my tire was flat. I drove to a safer area to pull off (didn't wanna get in the way of the buses) and called my dad. BUT I can say that I was young and not driving very long, so I didn't know better, .

This is my story!

1. One day I was just driving to work minding my own business when some lady pulls up along side of me and gives me a smug look.
2. I roll down my window and she says, do you know you have a flat? Sorta with a look on her face like....what a dummy you are!
3. After taking care of my flat, I get to work and share the story with several of my buddies.
4. And this is what I got as a result! Snort!

Atleast your flat tire and my card has served as entertainment today.
If it happens again, tell the lady that every time you ruin a tire your husband goes out and buys you a new car and you just want to make sure it is ruined before you take it home. Then she thinks your husband is dumb instead of you.
Now I will have to fess up, I marked ( in the poll) I was one of those who did it twenty times or more. Well, not that many times, but that was the closest option for me.

I had a blow out on hubbys truck last summer and by the time I realized I had a flat (see no one had to tell me, Cindy) and pulled over, I was surprised I hadn't ruined the rim of the truck. We have road hazard so he got a new tire.

Sorry I am always picking on you.

Happened to me once. My excuse is that I was pregnant with my first baby and when I heard a funny noise I just ignored it rather than deal with it in my "condition."

Yes, I was 18 (decades ago) and me and my sister were driving through the parking lot of a store. My steering wheel was real shaky and we couldn't figure it out. I said, (being the brainy one) the parking lot doesn't look bumpy. This man, was right beside us, pointing at my car. Finally he made the gesture to roll down my window and he then told me my front tire was flat. I could have died. I just drove it to the nearest gas station. Ugh!!

It happened to me. I was driving to church. Got in the parking lot and my son's friend, who was in the car behind me, told me I had a flat. I was so embarrassed. No card from anyone, though.

'Fraid the poll doesn't have the answer for me -- the only flat tire I've ever had on the road I was only about a mile from home so I put on a pitiful face and DH took me down to the car, changed the tire for me and I drove home. Wonder why I keep him around????

Only once did that happen and that was oh...... 20 some years ago. My cousin and I were cruisin' the local cruise route and this guy says your tires flat!! So, we pull over and look at it!!! About 5 minutes later, my aunt comes by (her mom) and says well, fix it!!! Hmm, how???? Well, she ended up fixing it for us. One of the punk guys tried to help, but couldn't get the lug nuts off, buy my Aunt did it. You didn't mess with her, man she was strong!!!! Still is and still scares me- even though she is in Wyoming now and I am 44 years old!!!!! hehe
Love the card!! Isn't it good to have friends?

It happened to me once too. I couldn't work out what was wrong. I knew there was something not right, but had no idea it was the tyre.
Thankfully I didn't do any damage.

I live in PA, the state of potholes and never-repaired roads. It's hard to tell if you have a flat or it's just the bumps in the road. So I've driven once or twice with a flat. I think experiences like this make life more interesting. I had a flat last fall in the Michael's parking lot. I was starting to pull out of my space when a man waiting in his truck for his wife got my attention and told me. Luckily my boyfriend was home that day from work. He came to my rescue. I have no idea how to change a flat and really have no desire to learn.

LOL! Poor Cindy! Yup, I've driven around on a flat too. I have no idea where, but I ran over a HUGE nail and my tire had a slow leak in it. Had no clue about the flat until my dad noticed it. I call it my blonde moment!

Oh get behind me in the line sister! This happens to me all the time! I can think of at least three times over the years this has happened the most recent was over Christmas holidays! Who ckecks tires when getting in the car? But gosh, I never got a CARD, just the funny looks and 14 people telling me that I have a flat while on my way to the tire place to get it fixed.

Well, Cindy, while I've never driven with a flat tire - I've done a couple of other MUCH more stupid things with my car involving traffic cones. When I was a fairly new driver ( about 16 or 17) I was driving through a construction area on the road. The guy directing traffic it seemed to me was directing me to drive my car right down the centre of the traffic cones - and smash them all down.. I shrugged at him in bewilderment..but he seemed to indicate - proceed... then out of my back mirror I could see him looking at me with complete bewilderment - was I embarressed!!

Another time as a seasoned driver with my kids in the backseat of the car, I heard a huge increasing rumbling.. at first I thought - an airplane overhead - since we live near to a major airport..but as the noise got incredibley loud and not softer.. I thought - what's up??? Well, I was dragging a traffic cone beneath my car .... how embarressing and stupid can one person get ( me! )

LOL!!!

utter disbelief! You go girl!

Wait a minute! You both admit to driving with a flat tire, and you want to go on a road trip TOGETHER??

I didn't vote cuz the answers just didn't match what happened when I had to drive with a flat. Not long ago a curb 'jumped out' and rubbed against (admittedly it wasn't just a caress) a tire that already had a slow leak & caused what air was left to whoooosh out quite loudly and rapidly. I was only a block from home so creeped along about 2 mph, luckily no one was on out along the way to see me. My dh put the spare on for me to go get a new one installed.

That's funny, cute card!
When I was younger, I was driving through town and these guys pulled up next to me. They were leaning out the window trying to say something to me, so I was playing all 'cool' and just ignoring them. Well, about a mile down the road I realized they were trying to tell me I had a flat!

hmmmmm, I've always stopped. However, my daugther did this one day. Drove all the way home on a high profile, blah blah blah. Our response . . . how could you be so [email protected] stupid! Of course, we paid for all the repairs.

Well, If your hair looked as good as the woman on the card (and I see there is a STRONG resemblence) who cares about the flat!!! That woman was smug, cuz her hair didn't look as good as yours (OR she recognized you from here and can't stamp as good as you.)

I have driven along with sunglasses flapping from the luggage rack of the mini van. (BTW--they were dh's and HE left them up there) The guy who passed by and told me--was not smug--but I bet I was the subject of a couple of jokes when he got to work. Just doing my part to make others feel better about themselves
