OH how I feel for you! I don't know what I would do without SU. I am a demo and an addicted rubber stamper. Although I think my wallet (and husband) would disagree. Hope SU is available to you soon!

Hi..

I'm English, married to an American, currently living in south Carolina until June when we move to California until July '07 when we move to ENGLAND for 3 yrs & I'll be on a military base so I can still sell on base...we'll be in St. Mawgan in Cornwall.
When my parents came out to visit last yr I got my Mum stamping I swear up until that point she thought I was buying the cards & pretending I made them
Do you at least have a catalog to drool over ???? I'd be happy to send you one if you want

I can't even imagine that one....I feel for you.
I wish you could at least order from someone to get your fix......it must be the hardest thing to go through.
I would also send a catalog if you needed one to drool over or just to share with a friend.

Hi Shawna this is correct BUT they are not allowed to sell to, and I cant remember the wording someone once gave me, but it was funny, basically it meant us outside of the base.

LOL

I'm have become totally addicted to SU since I living in the States (I'm a Kiwi married to an American), but by husband retires next year and we are moving home to New Zealand (yeah!!), but there is no SU here (boo hoo), so I'm already dreading being in the same situation - maybe we could form a "citizens of no SU land" club??

I am trying to convince my husband to get a military job in New Zealand so that he can have an APO/FPO address, then I can still get my fix ...

I'm in Derby (which is right in the middle) and VERY lucky to have an extremely generous cousin who is a demo and keeps me well supplied. I did email SU once but they have no plans to expand further. Until then I just have to remember to keep my cousin sweet by keeping her well supplied with tasty English chocolate!

A Kiwi is a person from New Zealand, named after the bird not the fruit

Sadly no. There are places where I can get the candy.....but it is very costly.
We get it every once in a while when people we know are coming or going from Ireland.
I always lose a bunch of weight when I go there...which is odd considering all I eat while I am there is sweets, and bread and butter. mmmm mmm mmmmmm mmmmmmI love their sliced pan and butter too!!! I have never been to England....do you have sliced pan there too? mmmmmmm mmmmmmm mmmmmm mmmmmmm I would love some right now with some nice tea! Oh! That's another thing each time we go my husband brings back huge boxes of tea bags from the cash and carry. He doesn't like the tea here.

Oh boy! I am hungry now!

Hey KiwiStamper:

I just read your post - how cool that there are some other "misplaced" Kiwis on SCS!

My husband and I met in London (and yes, I agree - very yummy chocolate!), then moved to Florida, then California, now Hawaii. My Mum is so excited because everytime we move we are getting closer to home!

I had to laugh when I read the post about "what is a Kiwi", because in New Zealand the fruit is always Kiwi fruit (never shortened to Kiwi), so when I first got to London and heard the English saying they were going to eat Kiwis I got very worried as you can imagine ...

I have an idea about the SU shortage in Australia/NZ - maybe we could stage a sit-in at SU until they give us stamps down under ...

Default No SU!

My new friends here on Guam thought I was w a y out of it whaen I didn't know what stampin up was. I had been in Germany for so long I had never heard of it. I was amazed you could buy stamps at home shows! I was already a stamper but hadn't been doing much in Germany besides working full time and attending graduate school and having a baby....If and when we got bacu to Deutchland, I will get my stampin up any way I can!

Now this might lead to something exciting... my cousin who is a demo says there is something about SU appointing a new person to take control of international expansion! I wonder where they'll go first?

I feel for you. I had a friend that came over in the summer from England and spent $$ here in Ohio on stamps, ink, paper etc as she knew NOTHING about stamping until visiting! When she went back to England she only took a small piece of her stuff that she had bought as she planned on moving back to the States. When she came "home" she had to leave some of her punches in England as they couldn't fit in her suitcase!

Now I go and stamp with her at least once a week and she gets to attend her FIRST SU party this week! She is in heaven! (besides being newlywed! lol)
