Default I'm so excited I just have to share this

I earned a sleepover at a retreat center this weekend. Friday at 10:00 am to Saturday at 3:00 pm. I received a leather 6x6 album along with enough paper to make 10 or 12 scrapbook pages. The intent of the weekend was to get away and stamp with no distractions. I had been wanting to make a memory album of our dog for my husband and I got it totally done in less than 24 hours. 55 pages total and it's so awesome. I don't like my handwriting so I finished up the journaling on my computer when I got home. I was so excited that I had to give it to him last night! I haven't been scrapbooking very long and this is my first ever completed book. Let's just say I have the fever now!

I finally uploaded some pages from this album.

Congratulations on finishing a book! It feels this good EVERY time you finish one. I've got to learn to scrap with my SU! stuff. I'm going to start with a 6x6 too. I think you've inspired me to go ahead and order one this week.

good for you! I pretend to scrapbook on occassion - though, I should say scrappage since I have multiple pages but only 3 of them even kind of go together. I think I need a retreat, too!

Great Job! 6x6 is totally the way to start. It give you a taste of how to use embellishments and dp in your books, and they are so easy and fun to make! I am doing one for my in-laws and it has been a BREEZE!

Congrats on this project. Bet it's very cute! Glad I'm not the only one scrapbooking pooches! The first two scrapbooks I did were dogs - one for my husband of our rottie and the other for my parents as a memorial to their beloved pet!

Congratulations! Retreat? Oh, that sounds heavenly... Guess I'll just have to scrapbook the old-fashioned way - with child, cat and husband underfoot.

Awesome! I have to say that almost nothing feels better for me than completing a scrapbook and giving it to someone so that they can enjoy it.

That is very cool. I personally don't scrapbook but my 13 year old DD does. She is currently working on one for DH for Christmas. He is an avid hunter and loves to take DS on camping trips. She has secretly gone into his picture stash and the album will consist of their trips. She wrote a very sweet note and put it on the first page. She is doing such a good job, it made me cry when I saw it. Sorry this is off subject, but I had to share.

Beverly,
I just went to your gallery to see Peaches' pages. What a wonderful keepsake, and you did a beautiful job. I can't believe you got the book finished in a day....wow!

Congradulations. I posted my first 6x6's today. I just got them posted so you probably can't see them yet. It was fun but I can't really say I'm hooked. I have two more to do before I'm done with my "asssignment". Speaking of I should get off of here and get to work.
