Default If you had to pick...

....only one alphabet set, which would it be?

I don't have any current alpha sets  and I'm trying to figure out where to start!

Depends on if you want small or large...

For a larger alphabet I like Pure & Simple.
For a smaller alphabet I like Brushstroke and All Around.

I ordered 4 alphabets (with numbers) all on one order last year... I never want to mount another alphabet after that

Depends what you want to do most. My first alpha set was brushstroke, good for cards and 6x6 pages, but kind of small for 12x12. I like Alphadots 'cause they are fun, and fit the new 1/2'" punch for layering. Bold, or Simple Type, or Classic are a little more formal.
Lot of help here, huh?
Actually, I do have one tip - DON'T trim the lower case letters over your trash bag. If one falls in, it could take several sorts through the bag and waste way too much precious stamping time before you find it. Not that I would know firsthand. Oh no ... not me.

I like the classic alphabet set. Perfect for 6x6 albums or cards.

I would say I love the Brushstroke Alphabet, I remember borowing this before I got my own and I hated it, but with a little practice I began to love it.

I also love the Alphadots. They are great. I haven't tried them with the punchyet, but will soon.

another set I just have to have is the newsprint..... I havent' gotten it yet, but by christmas I will have it.....

I have Classic and love it...use it all the time. I would go with a double alpha - that way you have both upper and lower case. The new newsprint alpha is nice. Like Classic only a little bigger.

If you want really big, Pure & Simple is nice.

The only one I currently have is the Classic...but I have it all...the double alphabet, the numbers, and the Classic Caps. The Caps are great for doing simple monogram cards. Stamp a background, then the Caps and emboss the Caps. Looks expensive, but it's quick and easy...and makes a great gift or hostess thank you.

I'm lusting after the Simple Type alphabet in the new catalog, though...maybe I can earn a free set at some point this year and get it.

If I was getting a large set, I'd probably choose the Pure and Simple alphabet. I really like the way they look in all of the samples. I'm not sure how often I'd use it, though...just too big for my uses on cards.

Here when I started I thought, "Heck, you only need to own one of these to demonstrate!" Hah!

Started with Alphabet Fun Upper and Lower. When I reached Stampin' Start, I got Brushstrokes and Classic Alphabets. When Retro Alphabet came out I got the lower...love it. And then, the rot set in....now I have (on top of what I already have listed!):

Crayon Alphabet Upper
Pure & Simple Alphabet Upper Lower & Numbers
Simple Type Alphabet
Alphadots & Alphadots Numbers
Classic Numbers
Brushstroke Numbers
Alphabet Fun Numbers

And just the other day I was thinking, REally NEED that Newsprint set! LOL!

I have the Classic, the All Around and the Quirky upper and lower. I want the Brushstroke, Alphadots, Alpha fun, and Pure and Simple. I do scrapbooking too so I can use the abc sets big time!
