Default Another idea

How about some supplies for making "inchies"?

And I absolutely love to wander through the Dollar Tree stores and other similar type stores for items that I can use for other crafting and gifting reasons.

There are so many things. Have you considered making things that they can use? Punches with designer paper for instance? Otherwise I'd go with glitter and a glue pen or other embellishments.

How about making Whimsy Jars and filling them with ribbon scraps and other assorted embellishments? You could clear out your stash and give away some nice stuff and stay in budget!

I would go with redline tape, two way glue pen, glue dots, mounting tape or the white jel pens

I vote for the collection of stuff that can't be bought individually (chipboard, ribbon). You can put them in a cello bag with a stamped topper.

Another idea is to cut some DSPinto 6x6 squares and tie it with an SU ribbon loosely, slide in a gel pen and there you go!

PS another great and cheap item that people may not know about is the glue remover eraser... it's wonderful and often overlooked.

These ideas are so good. I want to give it all but I have to stick to $5. I thinking ribbon for sure. Maybe some fancy bling brads.

I have been using my "eraser" so much with using the On Board Ornament kit from SU. It is awesome!

I haven't read all the responses, so this may have already been suggested, but what about making "kits" in baggies with your own stamped toppers on them. you could do christmas thank you cards, new years cards, or even valentines cards to give them a "head start".

How about a themed gift?

As an example, for a friend who loves snacks:

stamped images of pmsabella
a small bag of popcorn
fruit punch stickles
chocolate miniatures with altered labels
fun dp & ribbon

a friend who just had a baby:

stamped baby animal images
baby blue or pink stickles
cs and dp cut to size (a great way to use up your leftover pieces!)
baby embellis and brads
all wrapped in a baby blanket from Target's dollar bin

for the friend who likes to cook:

stamped images of a cook (like chefabella or voila)
magnetic shopping list from the dollar bin
spatula or other cooking utensils
a pack of salt and pepper shakers
wrapped in a dish towel

Hope this helps a little! Target and M's has the most amazing $ sections, the ideas are so much fun!

instead of thinking 5.00 individually. pool it all together on items that are easily divided. so if there are 5 peeps spend 25.00 and pick items and make cute little baskets or cello gift bags. and i still would put a coupon in to promote your business

studio g stamp sets
ribbon
brads
half sheets of card stock pre scoreded 110 georgia pacific white ream of paper 250 sheets 5 bucks will go along way
make a sheet of card candy
run some paper threw your cuttle bug
cut out circles ovals and squares with your nesties
im tired so i cant think of any thing else
but ya get my drift

IMHO, I like the pool the $ then divide the products idea best. It gives the recipient different items they might not already have, which allows them to try them, AND if they already had that particular item, the whole gift is not an exact duplicate of what they have. They can certainly use the different pieces in whatever way works best for them. HTH.

STICKLES!!!! They might be hard to ship though so the ribbon idea would be number two for me.

Scrappy: right now I'd buy some of that awesome pom pom trim from my LSS

If I was making some $5 gifts, I would buy a bunch of larger packages of coordinating embellishments (e.g. Chipboard, flowers, brads, ribbons) and split them evenly to add up to about $5. So for five people I'd get $25 worth of stuff and divi it up. I like getting little packages of lots of goodies.

That's what I would do too!

Thanks for all of the ideas and thanks to OP. I have to have a $5 gift for our stamp club's Christmas party and had been unable to come up with something. I have so much stuff, that I'm going to put a little of many things together.

I'd get one of those adorable Plain Jane Scripture stamps from Verve Stamps!! They're all so cute.

If it had to be SU! I'd get some ribbon, of course. Maybe some glitter. Or some flowers. Oh, dear!!

Thanks so much for the link to the plain jane scripture stamps. They are awesome and I am going to order them for my stamping buddies. Can't beat the price and the shipping is very reasonable. TFS

Stickles are these little bottles of awesome glitter glue. Less mess, less fuss and absolutely beautiful. They come in tons of colors, too!

I have them available locally, but it depends on where you live. M's and J's definitely don't carry them as of the moment. However, most scrapbook and stamp stores do.

They are fabulous...way better than normal glitter glue...much less mess and they dry flat. I *heart* stickles.

I just sent you a PM (private message) ... look way up top (near your screen name) and you should see an envelope followed by a number. I couldn't email you from here (you have to choose to allow that function) and Yahoo was being flaky for me so I couldn't log-in to send an email that way either.

I live in Dutchess County, not too far from Pawling and the PM includes a website for a craft store in Pawling.
