Default If you had to choose just one convention . . .

I've never been to any of the big craft shows/conventions. I don't even know where they are or when they are or how to find out. But I want to go to one.

If you had to choose just one to attend next year, which one would it be, where is it, and why would you choose it?

Thanks for your thoughts folks!

One of these years I want to go to CHA. Preferably on the left coast. Why? So I can see first hand and play with all the new stuff!! And meet so many folks I've learned from and read about over the years.

If it was here in Texas I'd go in a minute! We don't get any shows in Houston anymore except for CKC.

I'd suggest you Google to see what is going to be within driving distance of you. Check the website to see who is attending. Choose one that has companies you know and like. You want to be sure there is something there worth the trip and admission fee. You could also check the website of companies you like to see if they have a schedule posted. I have been to several different shows and enjoyed them, and also found a great LSS in NJ that we stopped in after the show and spent another $50!

Wenchie, I've only been to the one in Atlanta put on by Heirloom Productions. I've been 3-4times and loved it. Several years ago I signed up to work for Suze Weinberg and that was such fun! She paid us in products and gave me a bunch of stuff for helping her set up and tear down.

jeanstamping, I would love to go to CHA. Big sigh... not many stampers, or events in the south

I'm thinking of CHA in January in Anehiem. There is nothing within driving distance where I live. There's barely an LSS within driving distance. Well . . . and LSS worth driving to rather.

There are NO stamping stores near me The closest is a 2 and a half hour drive

Michaels and Hobby Lobby are good for tape, glue and cardstock. Anything else I have to order online. I miss having a local store where you could touch and see things in person. The owner always did a lot of demos too. One of the drawbacks of living in the south.

How about a "convention" on a cruise. Does that count?

I'm not sure where you are in SC. But here is something you might be interested in.

Thank you so much jeanstamping2, those are the ones that are 2 and half hours away I would make the drive for the convention, but I'm having knee surgery that week.
