Default I tried new things and they all worked.

I just tried some new "things" to make some of my issues with the following items work better.

One of my issues with clear stamps is that the ink beads up and it really bothers me - I like a very clean image. I used Stampin' Up! sanding blocks to rough up the surface because a pencil eraser just wasn't doing it. It works - the image came out much clearer and less beading of ink.

Next - I tried embossing a piece of transparency to see if it would work and it did. The cuttlebug embossing folders with bigger images work best. The bubbles one will look really cute with a water theme card or page.

I won a bella from SCS and just used it for the first time. I used scotch double sided tape to hold the stamp onto the clear block and it worked great - no need for the adhesive that has been recommended - the tape came right off when I was done.

3 for 3. Try them out!:-D

Great ideas. I tried the embossing on the transparency with the CB and like the results too.

Yeaup, always good to actually have something work the way you thought it might. I just got a cuttlebug for my birthday so I am going to have to try your little experiment. hehee.

I bought a bunch of clear stamps from Walmart.. the new Rhonna Farrer ones. I took all but the one pack I had opened back last night. I wasn't happy with how they inked up at all. I kept the flower ones, because I didn't think I could return it cause I had used it, but the lady said I could.. maybe I'll try your advice using the sanding block. thanks for the info. Pam

I'd read on SCS that using chalk inks (like the Cat's Eye inks) takes care of the beading up problem on clear stamps. I tried it, and I agree!
