I just have to tell you guys...
I am all in a tizzy about these color changes. I frequently find myself thinking about which colors I have, which I *need* and which will come in my kit, blah, blah, blah....
My sweet dear husband volunteered to listen to me moan and complain about this last night as we were lying in bed talking. He said, this sounds so complicated, and it's almost as if you have all of these colors memorized.
Of course I do! So I started listing off all of the colors, to show him how cute some of the names are, and the alliterative fun of Stampin Up! HE WAS ASLEEP BEFORE I GOT THROUGH THE BOLD BRIGHTS!!!!
What a crazy world this is, that I can stay up till all hours reading about the infinite details about this stuff on here, but he can't stay awake for a recitation of colors!
What should I *do* with him? Should I get a new dh? LOL!!!

Get rid of him??? Well, how much of this cool stuff is he paying for? Did his snoring interupt your concentration? Does he have any other good qualities, like tending kids while you stamp or carrying your stuff out to the car so you can go stamp with friends? On the grand scale of life, if he's vaguely supportive and has a cute butt, I'd keep him!

I told my dh that if I talk about Handsome Hunter in my sleep, not to worry it's just a new SU color. But seriously how many husband's have a true appretiation of what we do as stampers. I show my dh most of the cards I make, but I usually don't get more than "that's nice" out of him. Thankfully, I have friends and other family members that make me feel like my creations are more that a just a Kindergarten level design.
I too am a bit crazed over the new color announcement and I know my dh just wouldn't understand, so I haven't even talked about it. I guess I feel the same way when my dh talks about sports. We both have different interests. I'd say that if at least he supports you in your stamp habit, keep him. If he complains about your stamp hobby, maybe give Handsome Hunter a whirl. He loves stamping, but he's a bit of a flirt.
Take care, Brenda

I once, not too long ago, put my DH into a coma telling him how wonderfull Stampin' Up! Cardstock is. I even had him feeling different cardstocks so he could feel the difference, before he was overcome by sleep!

Funny, but I do the same thing (fall asleep) to DH when he drones on and on (infinity and beyond) about his computer games LOL!! I guess it all depends on what your interests are.

too funny, I am extremely excited about the new colors myself and can not wait to have a retirement party to get rid of any old colors and sets that are being discontinued at a discount. This way I will have more money to buy the fun new stuff! I CAN NOT WAIT TO GET MY SS!

I wouldn't worry. Husbands could care less about stamping in general. Some do it; most don't. Here's my feeling. I DON'T WANT MY HUSBAND TO STAMP. If they get involved in something, they form opinions and try to influence your decisions. They might tell you that you need to get angler when you would really like Buds and Blossoms. Best that they stay out of your business, unless they are watching the kids while you get some valuable time off, like an earlier poster mentioned.
Just let him sleep and find another stamper to discuss this with.... but then again, it looks as if you have found 40,000 stampers to talk with...

Well my husband is deployed and I find myself talking about this site a lot. Just because it is something to share. Well when those new colors came out I was talking and talking about them and he told me he was confused. I tried to get him to come get a look at this site but it was down at the time. So he still has no idea but keeps hearing about them! He does like all my cards though and enjoys getting them. I just hope he likes my new stamp room I made while he was gone. I only have a month to go so I told my stamp lady I had to get my order in before he comes home so I can say I already had it!!!

I am so fortunate - my DH is very supportive of my craft habit, and always oohs and aahs over the stuff I make. I bought myself the full set of markers a year ago last Christmas. When he saw them, he asked, what on earth do you need that many markers for. So, even though I've been doing this a long time, I whipped out the catalog and showed him all the coordinating products and what a difference that makes in the end item.
Well, now, when I make a card for him to send to someone, the first thing he does is head for my craft room to get the matching marker!

Whatever you do, don't get a new DH...sounds like he's one of the good ones! I too have been so obsessed over the new colors...one minute I'm excited, the next I'm po'd because the day before I ordered my second full set of the color families...ink, reinkers, paper (guess I should be glad it was the 2nd set and not the 4th)! Anyway, Friday night I dreamed all SU...new colors...the whole thing! Hmm...I need to get away!
