OK, let's take it step-by-step.

1.  Look at the wheelbarrows ONLY (ignore that there is anything in the wheelbarrow, ignore the color of the wheelbarrow, just look at the style of the wheelbarrow).
Which wheelbarrow do you like?

2.  Now that you have picked your wheelbarrow---what do you want in the wheelbarrow?  Pumpkins or flowers or cornucopia or squirrel?  Pick one

3.  Do you want a fence?  Yes or no

4.  Do you want the fence in front of the tree or behind the tree?

5.  Do you want the wheelbarrow in front of the fence?

6.  Do you want pumpkins on the ground?

7.  Do you want the pumpkins by the tree or by the wheelbarrow?

I am glad you want to coordinate the fence and window. However, bright white is good for spring when everything is fresh and clean. It might look too stark for autumn card colors.

Remember in fall, all the dried leaves are falling and everything is dusty. An autumn fence is more subdued. Weathered wood has an autumn feel, or some colors that have a darker, brown tone.

If you REALLY want bright white, I will make what you want. I am just giving style suggestions.

Sorry that you are not feeling well. Hope it is something you get over quick.

Remember when I said you have to make 3 scenes for a card with window? This is the inside of the card. When we finish it then we can make the front of the card. The placement of the window depends on which part of this scene you want to show through. Then we build the room around the window, like looking to outside from in the house.

Unless you want a window floating in the yard without any house attached to it? Gee, I hadn't thought of that-would be a very unusual window-a magic window, maybe? Can put wings on it? LOL- hoping you can laugh at this silly idea.

My thoughts:
2 & 3 both have the squirrel in the wheelbarrow. So, we know you want him there.

I like the colors of the fall tree but I don't like it being square on top. I think it should be shaped more round on top like the tree in 2.

Thinking forward to the front of the card-we could put the tall animal with the pumpkin inside the house, like he is looking outside to see his friend the squirrel, playing in the wheelbarrow. We could place the window so some of the tree shows but cannot see the squirrel until you open the card and he is the surprise inside.

I like both 3 & 4 with round tree top and colored leaves.

The only difference is 1 or 2 animals.

I think it depends on what you have in mind for the front of card and looking through the window. The window is in the house.

How are you thinking of the room with the window?
Is it just a wall with window?
Is there decoration on the wall? wallpaper? picture? sentiment words?

Who is looking out the window?
The person holding the card?
or is there an animal in the room, looking out the window?

OK, here is step-by-step building the scene on front of card. Tell me if any step you do not like.
1.   Blank card front
2.   Window
3.   Opening in window to look outside
4.   Wallpaper on inside of house
5.   Carpet on inside of house
6.   Animal in room, looking out window
7.   What it looks like when open the card. (I will fix tree to be round on top-this is just sample)

What do you think?

If you like, then we only need sentiment and it is done.

Good morning on Monday!

I have exciting news today. I fixed the tree to make it round!

I found perfect sentiments! They are little squares that are just the right size to look like a picture frame hanging on the wall by window. I put a sample one for you to see. It says Thankful Heart and has red butterfly. So cute!

There are so many choices- if you can click on the 3rd picture and enlarge enough to read them. Pick the ones you like best. We can put on outside and inside, if you like.  So many good ones- Gratitude, Thinking of You, Hello There, Hello, Friend, You are so Kind, Thankful, You are the Best, Nuts about You.   Any that you like will be perfect.

Finishing touches- I have not colored the animal clothes yet. Do you want me to pick a color that looks good on the front? or do you have color you want?

If you are satisfied, then I will glue everything down just like the pictures.

Hi Dr. Sonja,
Just jumping in to say that the autumn card is really coming along nicely and I love the idea of using those little square elements as framed wall decor. Will have to use that myself on a card or two! Great job Sonja and Linda.

Yes, the window will go over the tree.
The picture is just taken on my desk, not card assembled.

If his clothes were red it would be too close to the color of the pumpkin. Green (the same shade as the green in the wallpaper stripe) would be a good contrast and tie in to the fall color theme nicely. Green would make the pumpkin look better, too. Color opposites "pop" more.
