Hi Sonja,

What fun to hear about the three generations of talented women in your family and to see those photos. My mother sewed many of my dresses, as well as those of my two younger sisters, but I never really got the hang of it. My one attempt at a dress, while in jr. high sewing class, was a disaster! Anyone else remember home economics classes in Jr. High school? After I received my barely respectable grade on that project, my mother had to take it apart and re-sew it so I could actually wear it. I did eventually enjoy sewing once my kids were born. We didn't have much money to spare, so I made a lot of their clothing.
Like many paper crafters and stampers, I've dabbled in many crafts over the years, and have now settled on stamping as my main interest. Seeing you and Linda work on card designs together reminds me how there are many aspects to most projects. There is the initial idea and vision, and then there is the completion. In between are all the steps that you have helped Linda achieve, with beautiful results.
Linda, congratulations on setting the goal of doing every single one of the Falliday projects, and seeing them through. That was even more than I was able to do!
Bravo to you both!
Karen

Thank you, Karen. One of the things Linda has is strong opinions about how she wants her cards to look. She gets a vision in her head and really lets me know how it should be. We do a lot of private messaging in the background, so this thread is not a totally complete picture of our process. We have to use the thread to post pictures because of the site problems with PM and uploading pics. I can sure say that without the pictures, it would be much more difficult to convey a concept. She has also given me challenges to view my stash differently. I have to look at my stamps, papers, inks, and supplies with an eye toward building her idea into a reality. You can see from some of the FF items- we made do with what we had! I think the Holiday Kisses knit cap was a perfect example of putting my resourcefulness to the test to come up with a fun alternative without running to the store amid COVID restrictions. Linda has great ideas and I have great fun being the hands to color, cut and glue.

Hey Sonja, I was trying to help dad with Christmas cards, He's being to picky. Will most likely buy the Christmas cards, again this year sad but true. You ask me How get stamping friend of my. That used to go to church. Talk to me and mom about. And another friend invited to stamp party. And the stampin up lady told me about scs. And I bought stamp from stampin up and retired from scs. And other places too. And that is my story.

I put a package in the mail today. It contains all the FF cards you made, except the ornament and the snowman did not go flat. I also included some Christmas cards that I made. You should have quite a few to choose from to send to your family and friends, so then it won't matter that Dad is picky! You will still have home made cards to mail!

I know this one is a bit different from the wreath but I think it is perfect for the red leaves, brown olives, and the light purple. What do you think of the name of the card:

God is My Oak

KEYWORD:  CC818, MMTPT643

Stamp: Power Poppy Olive & Oak
Ink: SU Baked Brown Sugar, copic markers
Paper: PTI Cocoa Bean, Weathervane Grey, Lilac Grace
Accessories: Tim Holtz wood grain embossing folder, PTI birch frame, ribbon

Linda said- "Make a wreath and color the leaves Real Red and the berries Cinnamon Cider brown and put it on an embossed background with a ribbon of the Purple Posey hanging down."  Dr. Sonja scratched her head and thought "That is going to be a tough one." As she looked through her stamps this beauty stood out. Perfect for leaves of red, brown olives, and leaves touched with lilac. Linda approved of the scripture, full of hope and perfect for Bill, our Teapotter recipient this week.

Ok, i can do that. It takes me lots of time to find my stamps, take a picture of them and send to you, so I will stop right now and work on coloring this.

What color paper do you want this picture mounted on?

What color flowers? or flowers paper could be cute?

What saying?

I have 4 Christmas cards here. If we make a couple more tomorrow for VSN that is 6. So you only need to pick 19 from the package I sent you. That would be 25 beautiful Christmas cards. You and Dad go look at them and see if you still need some.

If you need a few more, we can make the next week's challenges into Christmas cards, too. I think you are going to have enough.
