I have a quick question which would be better
buying two packs of SU makers or 1 set of ink pads? I cant decide which is the better way to go. Any suggestions? I cant afford to do both hehe.

I get a lot of use out of my markers. You could do well with just a black ink pad and the markers. Then later when you can afford to, then you can expand into the colored ink pads.

Depends on the type of stamps you have most of.
If I had mostly solid or two-step images, I'd go for the ink pads.
If I had mostly detail images that could be stamped with black ink and colored in, then I'd go for the markers.

Buy the inks and a pack of blender pens. This way you have the best of both worlds. Save up for the big momma pen set. I started collecting pens by family or ones and twos. Now I wish I had gotten the whole set with the great case. HMMM maybe I will anyway.

I agree. Get the ink pads and the blender pens. I was lucky when I signed up with SU I got a whole color family of ink pads free. I am still saving up for the big marker case, since I want it all at onced! (I did buy a couple of journalers, though)

Ok now to make it more confusing :P Full size pads or spots? I have never used the spots....and if spots.. classic or craft. MAN there are a lot of choices!

Full size classic. They are what I use the most. For variety get a different family craft spots. I'm not sure if you are a demo but don't feel like you have to get everything all at once. Get the ink because that's what you want but wait on the goodies until the new cat.

I also vote for the ink pads (classic, full size), and then use the blender pens until you can buy the whole marker set.

I said the same thing in the other thread she posted in the demo forum. Great minds.

I love my markers, but would certainly keep my pads. I like the idea of full size pads and blender pens, but would like to add get the aqua painters too if you can (either SU or the Niji brand that M's sells), they are superb for doing lots of coloring in stuff.

I'm a huge marker fan too so I'd go with them. But like Julie said, if you have mostly solid image stamps, pads would work better.
