Question I have a ? about a very old stamp set...

On a different post someone asked what is your oldest set? I knew what mine was, but not the name so I went and searched for the set. I thought I couldn't find it, it was driving me crazy. So I continued to look for it. Well it was right where it should have been, but I was over looking it because the name of the set is......Border Builders. I was passing over that set because I knew that what border builders looks like. This time I pulled it out and there is my very old set with the same name as a fairly recent set. Which leads me to my ?, does SU realize they named 2 different sets with the same name? I searched this site to find samples of my old set, but it only shows samples of the newer set of the same name. I also checked patstamps site and again no samples of the old set. I'd like to find some samples because, the set is tiny pieces of ribbons that you stamp next to each other to form a border. Although it does have a slight country feel to it. I hope someone here will also remember this set, because I'm beginning to think I'm crazy!

Default No, You're not crazy

You message intrigued me, so I went hunting in my oldest catalog. The 1998-1999 catalog has this set. I says that it is to coordinate with the eclectic corners set. I think it was designed to make extensions from the corner set. You could also make borders with it. I doubt that many people use or have that set now. I do have the eclectic corners set. It was a hostess set in the 1998-1999 catalog.

This is from my first year of demonstrating!

Chris, Thanks for checking. I do have some old catalogs, but they are in a box that is hard to get to. So I really appreciate you looking for me. I also have the eclectic corners set. And I'm glad you mentioned that because there are some stamps in the Border Builders set that I couldn't figure out, but you are right they do coordinate with the eclectic corners set. I still would like to see some samples with the border set. Isn't it weird that SU used the same name on another set? I think I might call DS on tuesday to ? them on the names, (although I'll probably get someone who is new and doesn't have a clue as to any old sets, or why they would use the same name twice). I guess it really doesn't matter but, everytime I try to find samples I come up with the newer stamp set. Maybe one of these days I'll make it a priority to play with these 2 sets, and make some of my own samples. I'm just not sure if it is my style anymore. Not to mention the border set seems very hard to line up straight. Thanks again! (I still think I might be going crazy)! Dina
