Default I don't understand this Ebay Auction!

Check this out:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...ADME:B:EF:US:1

I don't understand why this is so valuable. Does anyone know?

I don't see why it's worth it, unless it was designed by someone famous or something like that. I love my stamps, but I don't think I'd pay over $50 for just one, lol

maybe someone hit too many numbers? I did that once, and hit an extra 8..making the price 88 dollars instead of 8.. .lol The seller was super understanding..and i paid the 8.....NOT the 88.....

Default Ebay Auction

Does anyone know the best way to clean coffee off a computer monitor 'cuz I just spit mine all over it! Hate to see what they are doing on shipping! I belice my DH would ban me for life from stamping if I spent that much for one stamp...I believe I'd probably have to have my head examined as well!

Apparently, there were 2 people bidding on this stamp. It started at $9.00 I don't get why it's that valuable (or why someone would think it's that valuable). I guess there's a sucker (or two) born every day!

Or - one person's junk is another person's treasure?

Glad it wasn't me buying it!

and only 2 people bidded on it which makes me think something is fishy... One being a brand new bidder!! Oh well... I would rather spend that money on SU stamps because they seem to be best out there for designs in my opinion!!

DUDE that's freakishly expensive for ONE stamp. It's pretty, but c'mon!!!!

Maybe it is 4' by 6' instead of 4" by 6"

I haven't checked the Ebay address so I don't know exactly what was on there...but I do know people go crazy. I posted a little Fisher-Price swing one time. It was a toy--for the Briarberry Bears they used to carry. It cost about $12 and someone paid over $90 for it!! And yes, I DID receive the money. It's amazing what people will do...!

I can't see paying that much for one stamp. I did not see anywhere that says which stamp company made the stamp. That is just nuts - hopefully we have not just insulted someone from SCS!

Okay, there's definitely something fishy there. The bidder for the second one is the same one on the first auction. This reminds me of something that recently happened to my mother. She had placed some bids on some scrapbooking stuff and a new user bid until they reached past her high bid, then retracted! So my Mom won a bunch of auctions at her top bid. She turned them in and didn't have to pay, which I'm glad she did.

Maybe the seller is trying to run up the bids to make this look or appear valuable.

I have bought many things on ebay and have several friends that sell on ebay. I will bet you good money what this person did is have her friends bid this up but why she had them bid it up so high is beyond me. Don't worry Ebay will catch her!

The used stamp comment is an very good point to share with others. The rubber could be in very questionable condition if it wasn't cared for properly. Thank goodness SU! demos include this information in demonstrations.

If you go to this seller on eBay and look at the other items she currently has for sale, you will regularly see a bidder by the name of POSTALGIRL, who bid up this stamp and other items she has for sale. How dumb do you think we are? Wake up, eBay!!!!

As a seller of many things on ebay, I am OFTEN leary of one who bids with 0 feedback. Often times there is never any contact to actually compleate the transaction. It becomes a HUGE waste of time.

I also looked at her feedback. She has all positive feedback, but a lot of her auctions have postalgirl bidding on them. Either postalgirl is the unluckiest person on this earth - or there really is something fishy going on. I think I'll not bid on anything this person is selling!

We should be e-bay police!

What a scam! I did a search on all the auctions postalgirl has bid on in the past 30 days and check out who the seller is for all the auctions! LOL!

http://cgi6.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dl...rows=25&sort=3

What I don't understand, is that if postalgirl is actually the seller, doesn't she end up paying high final value fees?

Grrrr...I don't like people not playing by the rules!

If the seller is having a friend bid up the sale price, she could then offer the stamp up as a "second chance" offer to the other bidder. That's when the seller has two of the same item or the winning bidder backs out of the deal.

Because the winning bidder is new, she may have been advised to put in $50 as her high bid and that way she would get it - never dreaming that someone else would push her bid up that high.

Either way, the second chance offer could be made by the seller.

We should be e-bay police!
They seller and the bidder with 0 feedback are probably the same person who is trying to bid up her auction. One may want to report her to eBay.
Illegal. She probably has several "bidding" accounts.

I don't know anything about how E-bay works, but someone who does should report this to E-bay. Something is not right.
