Default I am not going to buy another stamping idea book

I made the mistake of buying the Card Creations Vol II the other day...I like it, but nothing wows me..or inspires me....and I was just thinking..I get TONS of inspiration and ideas here and a fresh dose EVERY DAY...so I am not buying any more idea books!!!!

Thanks for letting me vent!!

I agree! I always buy them, but the samples here are always so much nicer! And you can talk to the artist if you have questions. Everyone is always so helpful and sharing!

If I buy an idea book it has to have at least 5 things in it that I will use and I have to be able to buy it with my 40% coupon at Micheal's. SCS has so much inspiration that I have not bought a book since I joined and I sold my other books.

I know the feeling...I have two of the portfolios from SU that I am going to sell. I looked thru them the other day for some ideas and thought, "Wow, why did I buy these?" I have SCS and that seems to be the only place I really go now for ideas and inspiration.

lol Anyone want to buy a couple of Portfolio books?

I have a book I spotted on clearance at Michael's. I would never have bought it at full price, and it has some cool "anything but" ideas!

I haven't bought an idea book or stamping catalogue in months now, and I don't miss them at all. Whenever I need inspiration I just come to this site, look up a stamp set in the gallery, and I have tons of ideas and samples at my fingertips. This site is the best ever and has the most comprehensive art gallery I have ever seen.

I have to agree with Kelli...I saw the Card Creation Vol II on the stands yesterday. I grabbed it and didn't even look inside because I thought the first volume was great. I thought this one would be too! Save your money. It's okay, but not nearly as good as the first OR as great as the SCS stuff!!!!! We are our own best secret! Okay so 10,000 of us know the secret! LOL!

I have to agree! I only recently discovered Splitcoast (my ONLY source for convention news!) and I don't think I will need another idea book or magazine (besides my favorite book of the month -- the new SU! Catalog). Thank to all of you super-talented Splitcoasters!

Default Card Creation Volume II

Good Morning Everyone:
I was in Barnes and Nobles last night and saw this and my first thought was do I want to pay $15 for a magazine. So I sat on one of the benches with my hubby next to me. No girls he wasn't looking in the book he had a football magazine But I am glad that I looked at it first instead of buying it because the samples were just ok. But sometimes I do have to have the magazines.
Everyone have a great week just in case I don't post again before the week is out.

Here's an even better thing - if you give $$ to be a part of the SCS fan club, you will get to see all the fabulous creations posted by the Dirty Dozen!!! They are so amazing that all the magazines in my crap room (the name my family calls it, nice huh), don't add up to what I've seen in the DD gallery. I think the DD should create a magazine!!

I think that is funny that they call it your "crap room". when somebody asks me for my e-mail in front of him he always says stormys crap. My e-mail is stormyscraps. Well me how easily they are confused.

Carol, that's a trip! One of my coworkers isn't into artsy-craftsy stuff at all (the only woman in the office who isn't!) and she calls it "arts and crap"!
