Default I am incapable of making a card without red

I am not satisfied with any card I make unless it has a hint of red or pink. Just sayin'.

I quite understand as I'm incapable of making a card these days that doesn't have stickles on it somewhere!

Thanks ladies. It was more musing than complaining. I really love red and when it can't work, pink is a good substitute. It just looks unfinished to me when neither is present.

I have the same affliction but with pink mainly...and that is why it's REALLY hard for me to make manly cards (and there are quite a few guys in my life who have gotten a card with pink on it simply because I had them on hand and didn't have time to make a masculine one, hahaha). And anyway, pink is SO in right now, haha!

Yep - ribbon. A card by me without ribbon is rare, indeed.

I go through phass with things. Like for a while ALL of my cards had embossing powder. Recently I went though a layering phase. I just find something I like and get hooked on it for a while until my next phase comes along.

If you love red, here's what it may mean:

Red: The color of strength, health, and vitality, Red is often the color chosen by someone outgoing, aggressive, vigorous and impulsiveor someone who would like to be! It goes with an ambitious nature but those who choose it can be abrupt at times, determined to get all they can out of life, quick to judge people and take sides. Red people are usually optimistic and cant stand monotony; they are rather restless and not at all introspective, so they may be unaware of their own shortcomings. They find it hard to be objective and may blame others for any mishaps. Quiet people with a preference for red may feel the need for the warmth, strength and life-giving qualities of the color, or they blanket their true feelings under a sober exterior. Red is usually chosen by people with open and uncomplicated natures, with a zest for life.

I LOVE RED!!! I would have to disagree with the part about not being aware of my shortcomings...particularly since I'm pretty sure I don't have any. I mean, how can I be unaware of something that I know doesn't exist? Well, these things can't be 100%...

Yesterday, my 12-year-old daughter told me a person would have to be dead and rotting in the ground before I would let something they did go. I am now going to call it "PASSION for the truth" instead of what other less passionate people might call "badgering you into admitting you're wrong" or "beating a dead horse."

....and why not? Red is great. Not always easy to photograph or scan true though is it, do you find? I wonder is there a way around that?? I enjoy making Oriental themed cards especially and Red with Black and a little Gold look fabulous together in layers.

I love PINK too
