I dont have any stamp sets like watercolor garden, watercolor minis, etc...and would like to get a set of that 'kind' but I dont know which to get... it seems most my stuff is 'cutesy'...
Thanks for ANY suggestions!!!
Anna
PS i will probably ask my demo to turn this in as a show so I can get the free hostess set (level1) and $15 in free stuff, I dont which level 1 hostess set to get either!!!!
I would get the canvas background for sure, also something to celebrate while it is half price, it seemed like you might have a lot of word stamps but if you really like sincere salutations get it while it is on sale also. I would suggest more ink colors so the soft subtles stamp spots would be good. I would get one or 2 of the flower sets you mentioned but not all of them, go for variety so you can do more stuff. I can't remember the other stuff from your list but that is my first thoughts

You should add $50 to it and sign up to be a demo. The starter kit is awesome!
Carolyn
That was the same thing I was going to say. I was in the same place you are a few months ago. I had $150 to spend and decided to just sign up instead since I spend enough to make it worth while.
You should consider this option. Just think of the benefits.
I would definitely go with the 1/2 price sets, the ss spots, and 1 or 2 floral sets (you have to decide for yourself which). Eyelets, buttons, ribbbon, etc really dress up cards or pages. I have found that I need/want more of the accessories because the stamps can be used so many different ways by changing colors, etc. I just received canvas today and am excited to play with it. The vellum paper is thinner than the cardstock. Actually I'm not sure what I have used the cs for, but I use the vellum paper often. Have fun deciding. Kathy
As some other girls suggested I would add on the additional $50 and sign up as a hobby demo. You would not only get all kinds of new goodies in your new kit, but as a perk that great additional discount. Also, you have the option of replacing/exchanging sets that come in your kit for different ones. You just have to make sure they are the same price or lower. You'll have the best of both worlds "shopping anytime and always with a discount".
I agree with signing up to be a demo. I was in a similar situation, spent SO MUCH money and just signed on as a demo. It will help you in the long run. Wish I'd done it several months ago and saved myself more $$.
Have you thought about getting one of the Plaidmakers (I'd recommend starting with the small) instead of the two backgroung stamp sets on your list? You can make either a striped BG or a plaid BG plus you can make them multi colored. If you go this route, you'll need to get the sponges.
Also, if you've got the Aquapainter, I'd highly recommend the In Full Bloom set. They work great together! Of your other flower choices, I'd go with Watercolor Garden, All Natural or Spring Garden, since those have the coordinating Saying stamps included. Consider that All Natural is a stamp set you'd color in, and that Spring Garden is a 2-step stamping set. I'd take Miss Missy's advice and narrow down your flower sets. Maybe get one that you can color in, and another that you can just stamp. I'd recommend looking at the gallery to see which stamp sets have the samples you like the best.
Your demonstrator is lucky! I can't wait to find a customer like you!
Definitely take advantage of the 50% off sale, and consider that the canvas BG stamp gives pretty much the same effect as the magic mesh, only in any color ink you've got.
The difference in the vellums is the weight of the paper. If you're going to be folding the vellum to make mini envelopes (LOVE that template by the way!), then go with the paper instead of the cardstock because it's easier to fold and not as bulky. When working with vellum, consider that you'll have to hide where you've taped it down or use eyelets or brads to attach it to your project.
The ribbon is a great deal, and I highly recommend it! Yes, you can stamp on it or dye it to match your project. If you need help finding which colors coordinate, ask you demo. I was surprised when I ordered the Rose colored grosgrain ribbon thinking it would match Pink Passion (that's what I thought it looked like in the catty), but it's acutally a match to Positively Pink. The Yellow Gold grosgrain may look like an orange in the catty, but it's actually a match to Summer Sun. Anyway, be careful what you order!
It looks like you've got a great collection started in a very short amount of time, and I too, would recommend thinking about signing up, especially if your wish list is so long! Also, if you sign up by the end of March, that Sincere Salutations stamp set will be included in your starter set. Then you get 30% off of your first workshop order (which you can take yourself!) Of course, you are limited to picking certain priced stamp sets and you have to get things that you may already have (like the pastels) but you could always trade them. Anyway, it's something you should definitely look into. I LOVE the Stampin' Success magazine and having access to the demonstrator website, which is full of ideas.
but it seems like the stuff that you get in your kit (the stuff that isnt interchangable) is stuff I already have...
Plus I know I wouldnt be able to keep up withe $300 a quarter, I dont have any friends who 'stamp' and even with the demo discount, I dont want to have to spend $75-80 every month. And I would NOT want to do workshops
I am an Usborne consultant and we have no monthly or quarterly minimums, if SU was the same way, I'd 'be all over that'! =)
Whether you keep up your quota or not you still get to keep what is in the kit. And for the remainder of the quarter that you sign up in plus the full quarter after you get to get the benefit of 20% off. You never know , you may stay active, you may not. But the initial investment is money well spent. As for not knowing anyone who stamps, I wasnt always a stamper. In fact I thought it was the craziest thing I ever heard. Now I'm a demonstrator with a club of people ( some who stamped before me, some I introduced it to) and that alone reaps about 400.00 in sales each month, however I only signed up to get the product in the kit at such a discount. That was last May, and the savings is even better now than when I joined.
hmmm, well I think so, here is my list for now =)
Canvas BG stamp
Sincer Salutations
Stipple Celebrations
Something to Celebrate (i could not resist while these stamps are 50% off!)
Stampin Spots in SS (I have EE and RR already)
Gingham ribbon in red, pink blue and black
3/8" organdy ribbon in white
watercolor garden stamp set
EE buttons
crystal effects
Thats my list for now! Then I get $15 in free stuff and the demo is giving me 10% off so I will probably pick another $15 in stuff to make up for that =) So I'll actually be getting $30 free! =)

 , this is the kind of math my husband just loves! Too cute, I think your list looks great. I just ordered Shapes and Shadows on Tuesday, have Watercolor Garden and love it, and am looking forward to ordering the Canvas BG and some Stampin' Spots in the next little while. Have fun playing with all your new things!
I agree with the others that you NEED to be a hobby demo!!! It's so easy to be a hobby demo!! You don't need to do anything but fulfill the quarterly requirement of $300 a month. That breaks down to $100 a month. You can do it all the the first day of the new quarter or the last day of the current quarter - as long as it adds up to $300 in 3 months. Which, if you don't mind me saying, by the length of your wish list, your next year is covered!!!! The greatest thing about it is, you get a heads-up about any upcoming specials, you get to pre-order most of those specials, and you get 20% off of ANYTHING you buy, and it comes right to your door!!! There are great sales incentives if you decide to take your hobby to the next step too!! If you decide you don't want to be a demo anymore, no one comes pounding at your door or pressures you - you are done.
Perhaps you can talk to your demo about being a hobby demo. I'm sure she would be thrilled!!!
jdickers: The Canvas stamp was in the last SU winter mini catalog. It is still available. The # for it is: 104421 price:$16.95. It is an awesome background stamp!
I would definately say the coloured eyelets, brads, buttons, ribbons. It can make the cards you have now step it up a bit!! Taking advantage of the 1/2 price stamp sets wouldn't be a bad idea too while you can.
