Default How to organize stamp sets

Hey everyone,
I was amazed by all the pictures in the gallery of everyones Stamping Spaces. I was wondering how everyone organizes(catigorizes) their stamp sets. I am a new demo to SU! so I don't have a lot of sets yet, but I will be working on it soon.
If you can post a list of catigories you put them in would be helpful.
I saw 1 example:

backgrounds
alphabets/greetings
hostess sets
christmas
etc.
Thanks again

Default Organization of stamps

I use to have mine in plastic tubs. Each tub had holidays, outdoors man, garden, animals, words, and backgrounds etc.... Got to many so I just started re-organizing. I work in an unfinished basement, ceiling is only about 6 feet high, so I used the joices from the floor above which made the perfect place to nail fence boards up. Now they are in alphabetical order half way across the room. The odd balls and dont know what to do with? are still in tubs under my sewing counter. The conference table I work on, never seems to be cleared of stamps. My other supplies.....are in roller drawers on each side of where I work. They contain punches, tapes and glues, rollers, inks, scrap paper, stencils, pens & pencils, tags, vellum.....and what ever else I can get into them. I have everything in plastic, one because my basement sometimes leaks, and during the winter it does stay cold down there. My ideal place to stamp would be next to a window overlooking a lake with wildlife. Not in a dungeon.

Default Organizing Stamps

We just moved into a condo and I have to store all my stamping stuff in our bedroom. We have two double closets so one is for me and stamping. It has those plastic shelves in it and we added a couple more. I have all my stamps in their orignal clear container and store them by size with the name of the sets on the end of the boxes with marker so when I open the closet it is very easy to find what I am looking for. I do have the original sticker that tells the name of the set but I couldn't read that very well so the marker is great. Hope this helps. Carol

I don't have many stamp sets yet either, so this will probably change over time...

I work in a corner of our computer room. I have a nice desk to work at, but use rolling drawer units for all my storage. I have a 3 drawer cart right by my desk. The top drawer has the stamps I use the most crammed in. Since I use most of them, I know pretty much where to find everything. I have a couple more larger drawer units on the other side of the room. That is where I store the other stamp sets that I don't use much or that I save for door prizes at my new catalog workshop or whatever.

Good Luck!
