Default How much would you pay . . .

or have you paid for either a single stamp or a set of stamps? Anyone care to share?

I like the SU Chocolate Bunny stamp from a few years ago and was looking on E-bay for it (after I checked B/S/T here) and the recently closed auctions were between $30 and $50. I could pay that much for it, but I don't want to so won't be buying unless I can find a much better deal.

Probably the max I have ever sent is about $30.00 for an entire set from SU and maybe $10.00 for a single stamp from a store.

Thanks - I'm just curious. I probably tend to be a bit thriftier than some I know so maybe it's just me that wouldn't pay this much.

I go caught up in the moment and paid a small fortune for a PSX stamp that I never did use properly or liked the results of. I just sold it today for 1/3 of what I paid. LIve and learn.

The most I've paid for a single stamp is $18.95 CAN for a PSX wood stamp from a retail store. But...it's truly a beautiful stamp.

I can see how that could easily happen. I would probably end up the same way, buy it and never use it or use it very little.

Personally, I think that is wwwaayyyy to much to for the Chocolate Bun. Didn't he originally sell for about $8? Did you check the ISO board here? I tend to be pretty thrifty when I shop for stamps that I want. Do I really LOVE it??

Yeah, I think it was about $8. I did check the Sell board but didn't put it up on ISO. I like the stamp but it's not one that I can't live without, KWIM? If it could get it for less than $10, I would buy it. I'll just keep checking on it to see if I can find it for less. No biggie if I don't get it though.

I paid $32, including shipping for a used Stampin Up "All Aboard" (steam engine) set on eBay.

It was a lot of money for a used stamp set, one that sold for only $21.99 new, but I really wanted it. It took me a couple months of looking every day to find it at a price I was willing to pay. I'm glad I got it. The front-facing steam engine is one of my most-used stamps.

You will most likely pay more for that bunny stamp since Easter is right around the corner. Actually, you are probably best waiting until after Easter and then I'd bet you'd have better luck finding one for a good price.

I've paid $17.95 for a background stamp before, and probably $35 or so for different large SU sets.

I find I'm more annoyed buying a $1 or $5 stamp and not being able to make it work for me than I am at spending more money for stamps I actually use enough to feel I got my money's worth.

I did buy Office Accoutrements (SU) just for the library card stamp, which means I paid $32ish for one stamp worth about $6-$8. No regrets as at that time, there were NO OTHER LIBRARY CARD STAMPS ANYWHERE!!!!! Trust me, I searched! It was still a couple of years before I saw companies putting them out.

I paid $45 plus shpping for SU's "For the Love of Chocolate". I love that set! It was in the catalog for 28.95 the first year I started stamping.....at the time it wasn't my style. Now I love it and don't regret the money spent.

I also paid $20 for the Haiku Bunny by Hero Arts. I've never used it but will some day.

I have the chocolate bunny stamp by SU and it was $7.95
It's a cute stamp and it stamps well, but if it's going on ebay for $30+ that's insane!

Would this bunny work for you?

Oh, I just checked SU site. You can download the digital brush for the chocolate bunny. You don't need to have SU's Design Studio to download the brush, but you do need to know how to load a brush.

Here's a link to the chcolate bunny digital stamp on SU:

Several years back, I paid $40 for a couple of rare SU sets that I felt were well worth it!

And in January I sold the Chocolate Bunny stamp for $10 plus shipping to someone here on SCS. I believe she just mentioned in a thread that she was looking for it so I contacted her and said I'd dig it out of the closet for her . I was happy to get the $10 and she was happy with her purchase - win, win!

I used to post in BST and ISO quite a bit. I ALWAYS had luck in ISO - and often I was looking for hard-to-find stamps. If I'm looking for anything, that is the first place I'd go.

I think if you posted in ISO, you'd find that there are people willing to part with their bunny!
Give it a try.
